Just watched the news and a couple from Fort Mac that was staying in a hotel in Edmonton had their truck stolen. Good news the truck was found but all the stuff that they had packed while fleeing the fire is gone. WHAT THE PUCK IS WRONG WITH SOME PEOPLE!!!!!. Wow I feel for the couple. Even if they find the thieves nothing will happen to them.

These two bit thieves know the chances of getting caught are slim and even if they do they just get a slap on wrist. What they need is a little vigilante justice. I feel sorry for those poor folks.

We sent 2 more crews up this morning. Lots of small fires and basements it sounds like.
there were plenty of hot spots in the areas I went through along the river where I dropped of the atco nodwell yesterday. in the trees as well as in the neighborhoods that were razed

I was up there for a week helping my company get things flowing again, so I had security access to the city, the things I saw were heart breaking. The fires got worse and we had to get out Monday, I lost all my personal belongings in the blacksands camp when it burned to the ground.

This was taken a about 3pm

I was talking with a friend on mine and she said even if a house didn't burn it most likely have smoke damage and need a massive cleaning of everything in the house as well as the house it's self.

Oh, absolutely! 100%. We've had 2 vehicles in our shop this week, from up there. And the minute they came into the shop, the whole place smelled like fire.

That is true.

The fire was very intense with major smoke damage due to days and days of smoke in houses.

I will see how air is this trip.

And Asbestos from the drywall pre 1984.
Same is now happening in McMurray, OH&S and Govt Industrial Hygienists showed up this week to start addressing safety measures and cleanup procedures.

Worked on construction loading drywall in all those houses in mid seventies in abasands heights. Big print on bags of drywall mud. Contains asbestos.

Yes. Exposure levels are very high.
Especially when digging out basement while they are burning
