How many families are you gonna personally sponsor financially, maybe share your family home till they get on their feet, or are you just thinking this should be an initiative that all Canadians should fund because you believe it's the right thing to do, regardless if others have differing thoughts or opinions. ?

This isn't a bad idea. Get a bunch of the 25 year old Jihadist warrior looking ones, feed them, house them, start a roofing company, put them to work for 15$ an hour.
Force them to listen to Country music all day. See one making a bomb, smack em in the head& tell em to get to work.
Probably could get some government money some how out of the deal, tax breaks ext

Russia is fortunate to have a proper leader who can get things done. If the Arctic situation becomes critical I'm confident Russia will win.

Why is everything that actually is true left wing tripe? Craig Roberts is a retired aid of the Reagan party! He sees the US headed in the wrong direction which most Americans also see. Short of a uprising the us people have their hands tied as we do here in Canada. We talk about a democratic system but in all reality it's a farce! If Canada or the US had a true democracy then each province would have equal voting power! We do not and never will as all the major corps and banking institutions are founded in east. That's who rules the country and unless they headquarter in west we can forget it. You can see the oil companies now trying to make their statement by pulling the pin!Anyone who raises a fluff is a lefty. Ha. In the future until we get our **** together your going to see a lot of lefties. Russia has 41 ice breakers canada and US have 4 combined and 1 of canadas is on blocks. Wouldn't it seem like you wouldn't want to work with these people instead of costing the tax payers a ton of money in retrofit. I think Eurasia is the hub of the future. They have the biggest population and will be the trading hub of world. The sooner we realize these people will be the powers of world and our best trading partners the better off we will be. Start relations sooner than later!

I will give you that the article leans in the truthful direction...it was the bit about Greece that lost me. The German banks ruined the Greek economy...really? Wasn't years and years of spending more than they made to support a bloated government and social programs that did it? One just needs to look at Ontario under the liberal gov't to see what bloated spending looks like. Alberta's NDPs and JT the Wonder Idiot will be following that model as sure as hell.

Well I think the thing he is saying the euro dollar model is not for all countries. A lot of European countries did well under their own monetary system. The problem with Greece is its predominantly a retiree country that does not generate to much growth. It relies on tourism mainly for survival. What he basically says if Greece cannot run on the euro mold let it fail and go back to its own system that worked for them for centuries. Why should Greece have to turn over country(the peoples) assets if you will for a monetary system doomed to fail on their way of life. It worked perfectly fine before?

Unfortunately there are several factors that ruined Greece including a bloated government. But yes German/french banks and the EU have to share some blame as well. Here is some reading material.

EuroZone Profiteers: How German and French Banks Helped Bankrupt Greece | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization

Also, not sure if many know, if a bank has $1 billion in assets, they can lend it 60 fold to $60 billion. Then earn interest on the "paper money". For example, Germany is owed by Greece Euro90 billion and some change. Last I heard German banks earned Euro119 billion on interest alone. So in other words I have zero sympathy for these banks. Also, if my business failed due to a bad business decision who will bail me out? No one. Why do banks feel like they need bail outs for their poor lending decisions?

because the conservatives completely underestimated their opposition. Also, negative add campaigns don't work. IMO the finger pointing should be at Harper himself. He knew his own personality had lost the voters confidence so he should have stepped down and got a new leader for the party. I truly think the east would have voted for the conservatives if he wasn't in power. Yesterday a local news-web page did a poll and asked if Harper was a good PM and had 4 options. Over 45% said he was terrible despite the Okanagan being a traditional conservative region.

How did that clown ever get elected? I still don't get it!

Because he promised the CBC 150 million extra funding every year. His wife also worked for the CBC. Tainted reporting anyone.
