I did one last week. Used Mots kit (Wossner Pistons) and the guy loves it. Said it’s night and day difference. His is a ‘15 with 1700 miles on. 4 more coming next week to get same kit installed :)

Yeah I ordered mongoose it's Canadian I wanted mtntek but I have my wife breathing down my neck and it was a bit cheaper to get that one, what can I say lol. Talk to a couple buddies at the dealership and said they haven't had any issue with them and have installed lots. We see either way same design except the pistons have oil holes and mtntek doesn't. Some other kits have the holes and some don't both seem to get good reviews.

So you have a spacer...and bolts

Yes, just trying to save the guy money. Sell the spacer,,,, and bolts. (along with the gaskets) for mabye 30 bucks, then he can get the pistons, and save probably half the cost.

Pistons out of my 15 after about 3000 miles. In pretty great shape. In goes the fix kit.

Guaranteed they wouldn’t. However based on the number of these I have replaced, these might be the best I’ve seen. Ones from the Dragons and 11-12 were horrible. Lots of damage in the intake and exhaust side. 13 was a little better. 14-15 more or less like these. Still not taking a chance. I don’t like whirly bird extractions.

Agree'd, The whirly bird extractions is why I preach to guys to just freshen up the top end around 2500. I had a buddy who grenade his. I suspect broken skirt which broke the connecting rod which threw the piston through the head. There was no question that that sled was not going to limp out. His was a 2013 with 2300miles. This engine just doesn't lend to longevity. When it was all said and done he gave the sled away for free and bought another. Just isn't worth it IMO.

I have a few different pistons sitting on my bench. The used pistons came out of a 2013 pro. You might find these pics interesting. The RKTEK pistons are the lightest as well. I use RKTEK replacement pistons in both my 2013 pros. 1 is boosted and 1 is stock. 20171031_161916_resized.jpg 20171031_161932_resized.jpg 20171031_161959_resized.jpg 20171031_162006_resized.jpg 20171031_162044_resized.jpg 20171031_162108_resized.jpg
