Nice. Haven't fished Cowan. Go by the dam on way to Dore though
Orginal plan was to fish by the dam, but I wasnt sure if the gate for the campground was going to be open yet to launch there... so we launched at Big River...

Dore is on my hit list for this summer. Have heard great things.

It is just one of the regular pelican brand kayaks from Costco from probably 8 years ago. It is a 8ft and added the rod holder and net holder to it.

Looking to upgrade to a proper fishing kayak. This doesnt have the open top and not very stable as not a flat bottom and i can only sit in it for a couple hours and then i have to get out as it gets uncomfortable on my back as the seat sucks.

Looking at going to the open top fishing kayak. Looking at a a couple from canadian tire. Was looking at the one around $1200 as it has an adjustable seat and you can stand up plus good storage for more gear. Draw back is weight but im normaly not hiking into lakes other than the one in the pics.

Boats are nice... been looking at a couple smaller boats as well. Would like try a fishing kayak as i cant make up my mind on small boat or fishing kayak.

Been in a few different boats so know what im getting there just unsure on how much better fishing kayak will be for comfort over current setup

No great pics... one pic of us all packed up to carry into the same lake from a different time. One person just grabs front and one person back of them and we carry in. Another pic just showing setup somewhat after coming in from fishing

Thanks ! We are in the same boat haha jk. Leaning towards the kayak for solo. A 12 foot aluminum is nice but I think a kayak will be better/more enjoyable experience

We’ll just got home from an awesome fishing trip with my dad and a couple buddies. Fishing was unreal! My dads first cast 10pound pike his second 12pound. Biggest caught was mine at 21 pounds. But average fish was in the 12-15 rage. My fingers will never be the same they hurt from taking those big fish off the line. Caught some nice walleye to.

Hit up island lake yesterday. Caught and released 5 of these little guys. Lots of bites but no big fish and caught some weeds a few times. Lots of lakes in the area so will see if other lakes have some bigger trout.

What lake are you fishing at, if you don't mind me asking.
