I would take pan fried pike over trout or salmon anyday. But walleye over pike. Ling lobster is amazing as well.

depends on the lake. I wouldn't eat anything out of Moose lake. The Pike in Wolf lake are awesome. Not a big fan of Lake trout. Rainbow on the other-hand. Walleye are the best fresh water fish out there in my opinion.

Atlantic salmon In a totally different league. MMMMM salmon.

X2 pike is my favourite fish to eat! Now I wouldn't want to eat a 30lbs mermaid out of a warm lake, but catch them ice fishing and they are good!

Halibut hands down, cod also but a bore to catch and fish for. IMO non of the fresh water fish compare for eating....that ive caught LOL
But if your talking about the sport, nothing beat's sturgeon, your in for the fight and don't be surprise if your the one who gives up first.
IMO you have not experienced anything till you get into a sturgeon.....what a rush when it comes for fishing, better then Marlin IMO.

The only other fishing that can equal it is salmon fishing in the rivers and inlets on a fly. Hook in a Tyee or even a 20lb salmon on a fly rod and your in for a world of fun. IMO... Fly fishing for Salmon on a remote river is fishing at its best.

100% agree. This is my 6 year old grandson and we just caught this nice trout on Sat on the Shuswap. Was the biggest fish he ever caught and was so excited!

Ya not the nicest looking until spawn then they look a bit better. we caught that bull in small hole he ran us up and down the river. This stretch of river holds monster bulls in the spawn this is a small to average size in the upper stretch
