An amberjack my son Hayden pulled in mid December in PV. Also caught bonita and mackerel. Lost a few dorado :-(

Ucluelet and Tofino have great fishing, beautiful places to holiday and visit at this time of year.
Did you haul your boat there or charter? Looks like you might had chartered one.

No just one day fishing. Would like to try fishing Campbell River some other time. Ucluelet is friggin cold! Only 15C yesterday and today, Port Alberni was 25C... The locals say it doesn't really get a bunch warmer with the Pacific wind blowing all the time. One day in those rollers and chop is plenty for this prairie chicken!

They are sweet, as i spend more time on the island, eventually plan on retiring there, i want to eventually trade in the jet for a Kingfisher. And the Evinrude etec would be my choice of motive power for it.
