Heading to Williston next weekend. Stay up at the Clearwater. Can’t wait. I’ve fished rivers feeding and running out of Williston but never the lake itself. Anyone else on here spent any time on the lake.

Uncle caught a 74cm walleye last week.
Wife nd I caught lots in the 68-71cm size.
Had a good feed all week on walleye.
And cooked up one burbot - was OK but nothing special.

Then 39 of us (family get together) partied at Long Lake for three days.
Fishing not as good at LL.

In my 1/2 century plus being on this earth, I've seen a lot of parent's who view their kids as an "inconvenience" to their lives or lifestyles. But, in this "fishin pics" thread, I see just the opposite....I see a whole lot of great Dad's....(and Mom's)!

It's heartwarming to see all of you out there with your children (and grandchildren).

you know who you are.....give yourselves a pat on the back and keep up the good work!!

Well we had a great trip to Williston. A buddy, my brother, dad and my oldest son. Weather was good. Few rain showers but we were on a sandy beach so it worked out perfect. We did not slam the fish but the lake is massive so it’s going to take me some time to get on them. We launched at dunlevy and then went up 10 km to camp. Fished carbon and the Clearwater river. Burnt a lot of gas exploring. See lots of boats. Jets and prop and even a big catamaran. Will be going back this summer for sure.

Cheers

Gunner, Looks like your getting a lot of good use out of your new jetboat! You should start planning a trip to Tuchodi Lake sometime in the future, you'd really enjoy it, excellent views and great fishing.View attachment 218069View attachment 218070View attachment 218071

Thank you. It’s funny you mention that on Tuesday night I gave a buddy a hand building a gazebo and he asked me if I wanted to go up there next year. Go with a few boats. It sure does look like a wicked trip. How long is it up from the launch.

I have quite a bit of info if you guys ever want it for that trip, I was supposed to go again this year but life didn't let that happen. I'll be trying for next year as well.

Its 44 miles in the Muskwa river then you turn up the Tuchodi and its 39 miles to the lakes. There's 2 lakes only a mile apart.

I always thought it was a lot farther than that! I see guys packing 300-400 extra litres of fuel to go there.

It’s a 88 mile trip one way . Far lake .
Burn more fuel as loaded heavy and fast water going in .
Camping for a couple days .
