I’m thankful for the firefighters and the cloud seeders if its a thing.
Reports of 50mm of rain fell Wednesday on the fire and Thursday, with a very good looking wet forecast for this weekend, and next week definitely need lots more to get it under control.
Plans are to head home tomorrow with the family.

Well, got the family home. I really hope this amount of rain we are supposed to get is true. I definitely do not want to do this anymore this summer. Let it snow!

Yes, it must be quite an ordeal Matt. Happy that everything turned out good for you and your family.

Lets see greenpeace start a forest fire here today.

That link drops me at Saskatchewan river crossing in the National park. No oil or gas production around there!

I work at a number of meat plants and they are all sketchy as ch!t. It's a miracle they don't all burn once per decade.

Whats next? Locusts? I have never seen this much water in the Edson river before. The bridge on HWY 32 that crosses the mcleod River is closed.
