I wouldn't say that it is go time, but it will be soon. This was taken just out my back door in Fernie. I probed in about 20 different locations and found 70-90cm. There is very little snow down low but from about 1800m and up things are shaping up nicely for late October. One or two more good storms and it could be go time.

So this is out your back door at 5800ft?

Will the meeting minutes be shared with members that are unable to attend?

Hey fnDan,

FSA Meeting minutes are not available online to members yet BUT we would like to encourage everyone to attend the meetings to contribute their opinions and ideas. So much so, in fact, that starting at the November 17th, 2016 meeting we will do doing draw prizes to encourage participation.

Just a reminder that grooming is scheduled to start December 2nd weather and conditions permitting. Grooming schedule is tentatively set to be same as last year on Thursday and Saturday nights with additional grooms as traffic and funds permit. BCSF annual membership has been increased to $120 per year, trailhead day pass is $25 for Coal Creek and Morrissey, $20 at Hartley. BCSF memberships can be bought online or at trailhead kiosks.

Hope to see you at the next meeting!

What do you know about not having to pay the BCSF portion if you are already a member of another BC club?

Brad, you only pay the BCSF portion once. I don't know how SilkStart recognizes it but there should be a $26+ discount on the second club membership.

I don't think they have that fixed yet. Might still have to buy the second one on paper.

I had both Revy and Sicamous passes for a few years. Neither would discount the BCSF portion last year regardless which one I purchased first. It's not just a Fernie issue.

If you purchase the $120 membership you do not have to pay fees at the trail head
