Ski hill said 12 cm. We got a good 15 cm in Elkford. Took 2 hours to plow the driveway. Bev and I did some trails around the outskirts of town. A nice couple hours.
OK, thanks. Sure hope it warms up and starts to snow and I mean snow!

Yes a nice amount of fresh up there.
But, the old trenches have set up rock solid now.
Gets a little bumpy if you are riding where others were before.
And yes, it was dang cold again today!!

RR2 is the only road use frequency in the area.
They do use a couple loading channels but you best not be chatting on those.

You will need to look around while cruising the trail. All the meadows and easy areas are quite tracked up.
Trail was groomed very nicely though!!

They are logging right up to the burn area. Parking is fine just get there early. There are two lots now. Not really new snow to speak of for several weeks so it will likely be pretty quite anyways this weekend.

I'd say the lower lot is better for trucks with trailers. Take a right at the fork and go a little ways. Lot is on the left. Big FSA welcome sign.
We went on Jan 2, lots of snow and we were the only truck in the lower lot.

Connecting trail from the lower lot to the other one is pretty rough and whooped out. But it's only a few min ride.

The road is plowed around the Summit (so that is on the other side of the power line behind the Rolling Hills cabin) to just about the old Chevron well sign and then it goes into the bush to the power line side of Matheson.

Morrissey is the only option unless you want to ride the rough pipeline.

The connector trail between both staging areas was groomed the other day.
Be sure to look for the FSA girl collecting day passes. She usually sits up off the trail and unfortunately, misses some riders that come from the lower lot.
