We took advantage of a great night for a little ride out to Ferintosh for a beer and some munchies. We had been there sledding before and as usual the food was great then! There were several others that took advantage of the warm evening and at one time there were about 20 bikes sitting at the pub! If you want a good destination to hit, try Ferintosh. Admittedly the owner didn't expect the crowd and the food took a bit long but it was well worth the wait!

What other central Alberta destinations can anyone recommend for an evening ride?

A buddy and I took the afternoon off and headed south. It rained, it hailed, got sunny, then rained and hailed again. We ended up at the Delburne Bistro. Its a nice little place. The food was excellent and the beer was cold.

We went for a little ride on Sunday to Wetaskiwin. We stopped at Barney's pub. It's a nice place and had a good selection of munchies on the menu. I'd go back!

We went for a little ride on Sunday with hopes of stopping in Ferintosh for a bit to eat. Unfortunatly we were early and the pub and restaurant were closed. We decided to check out what was once the Steel horse in New Norway. We used to head there when sledding but after the Steel horse had closed and re-opened as a little deli we never made it back out there. The deli is closed and the pub is open again. It is no longer called the Steel Horse, but something like "Skinny's". The food was good, and the owners very friendly and nice to chat with. Hopefully they can keep busy enough to stay open throughout the summer and the winter sledding season. Check them out!

It's been a early spring and we've made a few little runs so far:

Mr Little's Pub in New Norway. Great food and awesome patio outside! Probably been there 3 times so far!
Ferintosh Hotel. You have to try the Pizza.
Barney's in Wetaskiwin.
Leanne's in Millet.
Afternoon ride out to Pigeon Lake. Didn't have time to stop but The Cookhouse at PL Village is always good.

A group of us are planning on a ride to Delburne on Friday for lunch, Drumheller, Wayne Hotel, and possibly Stettler on the way back home. May be a bit chilly in the morning but its better than a day at work!

I hope to make it out to Tofield on a Tuesday evening in the near future. I hear its pretty busy for their bike night.

Where has everyone else been or what other Central AB destinations would you recommend?

We rode out to Sunnybrook Hotel on Sunday. Good ride, but lots of RV's heading home. Clear sailing from Calmar west. Lots of bikes in the lot, beer was cold, burgers were interesting. (wife got sick from hers)

Might have to head NE next trip.

I still haven't been there. Drove past several times in the winter for the boy's hockey games that were out that way but have never stopped.

Rode to Donalda on Wednesday evening for their wing night. The Donalda Tavern hosts a wing night every Wednesday. You'd better make a reservation though because it gets very busy! The wings were great with 20 flavors to chose from. Defiantly worth the ride!

We rode around Keep Hills power plant, then North past Stanger staging area. And east to a small restaurant (can't remember name of little town)

Made for a nice day. Quiet backroads, pavement was in good shape not very rough.
