Glad we started when we did the last 2 weeks have been straight rain with ankther 1.1 last night and pouring again right now, cant get linger then 6-8 hours in the drill buy were down to the last 160 acres me nor the old man have never seen a spring like this, its a struggle but we are thankfull

Latest we finished seeding here was June 7th because of a rainy spring. Had bumper crops that year and finished combining by mid October

We had to reseed canola june 13th a few years back turned out to be a good crop missed all the july heat

Seeded Durum June 15th in 2016 and yielded amazing. Was all feed after the rain and snow we got though. I still have a few days before I'm done here. Will be interesting to see how red lentils seeded June 3rd will do. Don't think I'd have seeder them last if I had known seeding would take 6 weeks lol.

Havnt got it in, neighbour owns a custom floating outfit and hes on route to
Manitoba to float canola on for some
farmers 2nd time in 5 years 2 wet to seed for them
Boys some guys only got 5% of there canola

Anyone else getting hail with every storm cycle that comes over this year? Tonight’s atleast 3 times this year so far for pea sized hail. Hopefully not a sign of worse weather to come this year. 1/2hr west of leduc

We had some hail like may15th here its just so dam cold out also had this on my driveway the other day which was a first for me

Sprayed for beetles this past week…

Neighbour a few miles away started reseeding canola yesterday …

We are definitely getting moisture now. Looking at some of the fields and what’s grown is starting to turn yellow.

Dryland looks good but we could use a rain soon. Grasshoppers are gonna be coming out soon.
