Well, here goes round four, fanfkingtastic !!

Fawk that noise. We wont handle lorsban, it a little too wicked for our liking. If we need lorsban sprayed we hire the plane. You must be getting close to pre-harvest intervals arent ya?

Atleast he has product. I read on ag-talk lastnight someone in ia needed to spray his spider mites and could not get any lorsban or generic product. The pyrethroids wont take the mites only organophosphates. Sure glad we got all ours sprayed last week and this week.

I agree zeebs, it's not a chemical to be taken lightly but the, planes are all so far behind that I'm going start ground spraying Berthas and lygus tomorrow. We don't preharvest canola, but will take our peas down as soon as the bugs are taken care of.

We had some hail Bounce, missed a real monster storm that went north of us by about three miles.

By pre-harvest intervals i meant the time between spraying and the time its deemed safe to harvest?

Lorsban is the shortest harvest interval but the warriors and endigo have like a 40 day harvest interval. Just wasnt sure what the actual interval was on lorsban.

Sorry misunderstood you.. Yes we are getting close. Heard today that CFIA( Canadian food inspection agency) will be testing and monitoring residues a lot closer this year. Likely a good thing, the amount of pesticide's going on this year is staggering!!

Harvest is underway. First quarter of meadow peas harvested. 70bu/ac on dry land but not very fun to combine with a draper header. Starting barley either today or tomorrow.

We will see, still a lot left to get in the bin. How are things going in milo?

Some guys have done some peas and will be going on barley first of the week. Peas are running about 45-50 around here but we are sitting at just over 6 inches of rain since April 1st. Hoping to go on some wheat by next weekend. Could be an early harvest completion the way things are shaping up.

Yeah... I think we've had about 12 inches of rain so far. Lentils have some disease as the ground was always so wet under the canopy. Also a weedy mess, not sure if I will grow them again. Other crops look good and I'm curious to see how canola will yield with all the damn bugs, disease, and heat during flower.
