Lol we used to farm around 15 thousand we just do a little over 2 now the one 690 is ours the rest are my uncles they still farm over 10. Did just weight tests and overall all combines were pretty close pretty nice combine i think its the largest combine on the market but resale in our area would be a tough one oretty big green and red area although lexion has snagged a few guys

All very nice machines, no one really builds a crappy machine anymore. And really for $500+k they should be complete rocket ships.

Bet you guys are glad you didn't have that many this year.
I can even imagine trying to manage that many acres, sounds like a rodeo.

Told the nh was 690 thousand off the lot, the amount of destruction we use to see was nuts now its just me and dad and i worked away from home but tired of that so try to snag a lil more land snd work seasonaly

Had the big red truck show up in my field to help with a small dose of flames in the front end. Came very very very close to losing the whole machine. Got off lucky and I think other then some warmed up metal its alright. Do not know what the cause is yet.

6 extinguishers 1 coat 1 thermos of coffee and 1 water jug held it back long enough for the big garden hose to show up. This canola is so dusty it doesn't take much to light things.

I remember when guys down here first started growing peas and the variety back then was so powdery from mildew. Guys were blowing off or washing their combine exhausts and engine bays every tandem load because of fires concerns. I heard that one year 27 combines burned to the ground in southern Alberta before Sept long weekend.

my next door neighbour was combining a few years back when is machine caught fire and the fields and within two hundred feet of my house! It was hot that week too so needless to say all of us were very concerned. Fortunately, the fire dept acted quickly before it got to homes.

If you have the variable drive fan get it cranked up permanently!!

Genius engineers are saving us .10/hr of fuel by slowing it down when it doesn’t need cooling. Chaff builds up then fan cranks up to cool and blows sh#t everywhere
Lots of dealers do this as part of pdi but the one we bought new didn’t. Was on fire 3x one day. Over a year to settle fight who was paying for burnt parts

Had a fire 2017, happened so fast only had time to call 911. Thanks to volunteer fire department only lost 10 acres and no equipment. Is now a teaching lesson on our farm.

As do we, huge pile of chaff our front the shop when harvest is done. Unbelievable when you think about if you never blew it off.

We had a John Deere baler go up on us. Roller bearing went and the hay went up. My dad disconnected the tractor at least. Baler was a write off.

Find out that a good baker is a needle in a hay stack. So we had to buy new.

Congrats! The worst part of harvest is the clean up imo. I hate blowing off headers and combine, winterizing stuff, doing grain samples, etc. No rest for the weary.
