I still think you need a speaker mic and a better antenna with these radios to get them to work the way they should, my testing confirmed this as well. But man it out did my 25 watt kenwood.

With 8w baofeng it looks like 165000 frequency is by far the strongest on his meter

Thanks to skegpro and everyone else, for sharing the awesome tutorial guide and CSV spreadsheet. I got a couple Baofengs programmed this afternoon and it was super quick and simple.

Today my leixon note shows up, pretty heavy duty radio by the looks of it and dam it's pretty impressive, called a Buddy across town and said he heard me great and I was not even on full power.. Lol 12 miles about

going by the video on high power it put out close to 40 watt.. Almost crazy to think that, but not sure if the antenna will handle that.. Keep my face away on hi power setting thou...

should work decent im guessing with the 16inch whip in mountai. Terrain

Question for you fellas, I have a Baofeng UV-8, and the mic I got with it, has crapped out. What are people using that has a better IP rating that won't break the bank, and is compatable with the radio. Thanks for the help

When I ordered my radios I just got the cheap Baofeng mics. They work pretty good. Then I ordered a couple Bridgecom mics. They are louder and clearer but more expensive. These ones on ebay look identical and are cheaper. I have one of these and it is super loud and clear but has crapped out on the transmit from what I believe is water damage. I just ordered another one and will be rigging up a pantyhose cover for it reduce icing and moisture. For the price if I need to replace it every year then so be it.

Wouxun smo-003 mics work good. About 38 bucks though. I ordered 3 of them they are awesome

Anyhere programed a TYT-8000E ?

I download the MD-380 software.
Download and installed the USB driver.

But I can seem to read from the radio.
The software also won't allow me to point to COM 6......

Windows 10 also won't allow me to assign comm ports.

And can anyone explain to me wtf is a Vocoder?

I really haven't dug to deep into this as I should have. Can someone bail me out?

I disagree. Everyone was able to see how media bent that story without mentioning Islam in the equation. Sorry, but everyone is required to receive equal treatment in life. Even Islam. No charges for terrorism were laid in that event even though throughout the world that tactic of driving a vehicle through crowds is terrorism.

Been listening to our locals last few months, if anything it's pretty neat to here how things go down, how many drunk are fast drivers get reported, there hrs of work, even some of the crazy calls they go to, if anything I have gained respect for the ..

Problem is all the low lives robbing farms in this area have police scanners too.......
They always seem to be one step ahead of the cops.

Played with the leixon today a little on high wattage.. Dam thing will cause interference so bad on tv on high power, it was scratchy, even knock out the computer.. But for distance it has reached as far as we tried, swapped the longer 16inch antana to the beoufang 5v and it worked better than ever, even on vhf frequencys where it should not..

Would like to order a few more of these longer Whips, is there any that are better than others are just the longer ones needed..
