Gross, I quite buying pails of C12 when it hit $5/liter.

Avgas it is I guess.
Same here. And sold my turbo sled. Now I'm using the 10 year old fuel to start fires and I have probably 200l of it haha. Expensive fire starter.

It still smells delicious but I have no idea what the octane content is

I ran the math on Octanium, a 1 quart bottle treats 37 liters for a 7 number octane boost. Costs $27/bottle, which works out to $0.71/liter, Chevron 94 was $1.649 last time I looked, so $2.359/liter for hopefully 101 octane (R+M)/2.

AVGas is typically 103 MON, or about 105 octane using the (R+M)/2 formula, and currently costs me $2.70/liter. Mixing AVGas with 35% 94 Pump Fuel yields the same 101 Octane (R+M)/2, and at the same prices as above costs $2.33/liter.

I think for the time being I'm going to stick with AVGas instead of an expensive bottle of petroleum distillates and MMT found in Octanium and presumably Shellbourne, my sled seems to require a minimum 102 octane to keep detonation away anyway. I also know for certain AVGas meets its minimum octane, it's certified for aircraft after all. The bonus being I only have to worry about 25% of my fuel possibly containing ethanol.

Just picked up some at Happy Gas on GP and my thinking is exactly the same as yours Max. I think the additives are much nicer to carry with you, and a fine option as well. But I only use about a 25-30% ratio of Av; just to be safe that I don't have to worry about detonation from bad fuel somewhere. So my typical 1-2 day trip isn't ever an issue for me. Race fuel has gone insane. I'd be going with a bbl of 91 and a pail of Klotz Hitrate to make race fuel if I need it. We used that in our mod motors for sno drags back in the day. Evens smelled the same as VP fuel.

Well as for chainsaws , do some research I guess, Do t ride chainsaws lol. Pleased with the results of the product, will continue using it, very convenient, a nice upgrade from
Av gas . Will run it next year and let you know if anything goes sideways . As for now, my opinion only but 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

For the guys running AV gas, keep in mind you need to amortize the cost of at least two oxygen sensors over a season, since AV is really hard on them. So add in another $220 to your fuel amounts and in the end, blending race gas or using a booster is may actually be cheaper (and safer for your tune). Know a couple guys running Boostane and they haven't had any issues. I run AV in my turbo but you gotta treat sensors like a consumable product on leaded fuel, they are cheaper than a motor.

I have a few cans for sale of Shellbourne, looks like I’m the new go to guy for all Shellbourne products in this Region. I currently have 2 stroke snowmobile extreme, 30 bucks a can (32 oz )
Going to test the waters and possibly jump in with both feet. Pm me only if interested.

Shelf life is up to 3 years if resealed and stored in a dry cool . 12 cans in a case, pm me for prices, I’m just getting set up so please have patience. I am the new distributor for this region.

Some information, this is application specific, 2 stroke snowmobiles is what I have on hand ? I can order for , boats, cars , chainsaws and more. Will also have the injection oil and other products available.

As far as I know, the Boost only has an exhaust temp sensor. 100LL should be fine in my Boost.

Yes, obviously if your sled doesn't have an O2 sensor, then that post wouldn't apply to you........#facepalm
