I have a 21' custom weld storm with a 6.0 and a Hamilton 212. Boat ha a atrial hardtop, wide beam and is deep. We like It for the kids, keeps us out longer regardless of the weather and with 2 little farts on board they can be comfy if the weather turns. We wanted a boat right away and were limited on options when we bought. Now I want some more power to get us there quicker and be able to get brought shallower water a little easier. Too many times she's been to the max and it was a little too tight. I re pitched to a 3 kw impels to get it p on step better and faster, but lost a lot of top nd and RPM......I need what I Lost back and then some. Not looking for 700 hp or 90 mph, but more than what I got. Gallons per hour aren't the end of the world for me as we have auxiliary tanks we can take but want to keep it around that 15 g/hr range if possible and not get too crazy. Not looking to spend 25 g's either. Prices, direction, advise, and whatever else is appreciated. I want to get his one as soon as possible so it's ready for spring. Thanks!!!

The 212 is a 400 horse pump, at that level of power you are maxed out on stock impellers, then it's custom and expensive. The 8.1 liter ho will wash out on take off with the 4t impeller, the 6.4 supercharged requires a custom grind to work proper.
HamiltonJet HJ212 Model
shows power levels, they say a 4 for the supercharged units but I've seen first hand it that it's not ideal, takes a bit of finesse out of the hole.
Hamiltons are a flow pump and are a great pump for durability, and large loads and of course the best reverse, but with big power a presure pump excels.
Mean chicken has a great jetboat forum, hope this helps.

It does, thanks. So since I have the turbo impeller I could run the 8.1 or 6.2 sc with minimal issues? What do you mean wash out?
