Brad my insurance broker just called me his enclosed trailer with a few snowmobiles inside was stolen from his lake lot at ascot beach - wabamun. They drove a suspect stolen vehicle through a locked gate. Hooked on to the trailer with a boot on the tire and lock on the hitch. They then smashed more stuff leaving. I’ll post more info once I receive from his wife to past. Ford truck with missing front bumper. Stolen around 5:30 am

it's unfortunately quite common out in that area, My dad checks our lake lot weekly to make sure things aren't touched and we are just east of ascot.

Chitty deal. We just got video at the lake. It’s amazing how many times somebody walks through our yard. cars pull in the driveway. Sit there. Then back out.

Is that Brad’s nickname? He’s also my insurance broker. Spoke with him this past Friday as we changed the insurance & registration on the Jetta over to James

PLEASE SHARE!
Our family is beyond devastated. Our quad trailer along with our 3 quads has been stolen from Meridian RV Storage in Spruce Grove. They were in a locked yard, everything was locked up tight and we had a hitch lock.
We have filed a police report and are asking that you please help keep an eye out for the following (also see photos):
Rainbow Express Car Hauler- license plate 6GD503 - has a toolbox full of quad helmets as well. See photos for close ups of the helmets.
2021 Yamaha Kodiak 450 - license plate NAG72 - light brown and camo
2013 Kawasaki Brute Force - this machine will stand out the most - snorkels, rad relocate kit, lift kit, bright green and black
2017 Polaris Sportsman 570 - license plate JYD91 - dark green and black, rad relocate kit with a wild boar

Sad too hear,,, i guess the time has come too make it hard for the @zz-hats at large...

Either you insure or make it dam near impossible for things too go missing...

P@ck'er Heads are looking for the maximum value and easiest too get...

The least value and hardest too get away with is not thier thing...

A person can do everything right and it won't stop them...

Take a few things off of xxx and leave a note of all the repairs it needs taped too the handlebars...

Don't fear dumping 2-stroke oil all over the engine and hay-wire a scuffed piston too the handlebars,,, a person might as well leave a old engine head laying on the running board

The ugliest and most Derelict never go missing !!!

duct-tape and hay-wire are your best friends,,, who cares if it looks like Dog-chit while you own it,,, when the time comes too sell it remove the ugly and princess will shine...

Drop a dead shaft threw the floor of the trailer and cylinder lock from underneath or do a removable hitch and tong ...

No hitch no go,,, weld off all open spots for a chain-hook,,, they can tugg it if there's no place to hook too...

Rule #1,,, everything has value

Rule #2,,, remember rule #1

Crappy deal,,, drive out side your gate and look back at your property with ((( eyes of deceitfulness.)))

Imagine your pizz broke sitting in a stolen truck with another fellow that's in a worse situation then what your in...

Ahhhh,,, now a person can see what those @zz-hats are looking at and thinking...

I suppose that insurance is the only option but it dosen't replace ((( That small stuff.)))

Time and time again,,, 40 or 70 units will go missing this year...

Trucks,,, trailers,,, sleds,,, ohv's,,, tools,,, boats,,, bikes,,, motorbikes,,, dog sled team and ones wife... <--- If one could be so lucky...

Kidding a-side,,, what value does a person put on xxx thats sitting out-side for other's too look at...

How do We keep Our stuff safe !!! and how bad do others want it ???

Just saying is all

Gotta be a little more to this story as Meridian RV is fairly new and right off the H-way it is gated and fenced. Almost wonder if this was an inside job or just by another customer renting there and decided to hook up to the unit and go.

Friends of mine own a storage lot and are constantly getting requests for lot rental. I just need it for a month, or I am going to buy a trailer just thieves trying to gain access. My first thought when I read your OP was most likely a inside job, Does Meridian not have security cameras and record of which cards have opened the gates?

In answering your ?, my thought is they most likely have cams but not everywhere, not sure if cards or just a code/key or just a code. that being said even so with the so called "only need for a month type's" that are in for casing the joint/peeps stuff, doubtful cams would help as most would obscure there appearance anyway and it would useless to law enforcement anyway. Cops seem to like just saying here is a file# contact your insurance because it is doubtful we will find it anyway, and that is ok in some scenario's but not all, and used alot by cops without having to do a bunch of investigational work. I had my machines stolen from my boathouse a few years ago, they were chained up and locked and they cut through 2 fences cut the locks and across 3 acreages to get to them and took them out the same way. Filed a report haggled with ins company on pricing as they use US pricing finally settled. Bought a newer machine and bigger now keep it enclosed with wheel locks too. Cops found my machines 25 days later but would not tell me where;) but told me where they would go for viewing, i said thanks but no thanks as i don't own them anymore the ins co just bought them a 2 days ago. I know exactly where they were found, NW and west of RR35 Lac Ste Anne.;)

I don’t need to look at a map to know where that is. Ya the police aren’t really interested in this type of thing. The only way they get interested if guns are involved then they are there in full force. Good luck!

40 too 60 units or more will go missing this year easy...

G.P. has been a run away for years in a row,,, all 3 industrial parks,,, most companies have night security...

They like doing b & e'zzz as folks come or go in the mornings or at the end of day with the large volume of traffic coming and going...

Alot of these pecker-heads do 2 vehicle break inn's...

1 vehicle out on the road watching as the other unit goes in too grab what ever,,, alot of this is planned and scouted out well before things go down...

The high tech dudes are using drones too spot things in the industrial yards so they know the lay of the land going in and out of what ever yards even if they have too drive threw a fence or a locked gate...

Stolen trucks can go any where and every where with a crack head behind the wheel...

Ramming Police cars is a must...

Don't be fooled,,, some of them ( will or could) cause great damage too whom ever or what ever when corner'ed...

They just showed a b & e on the news the other day as they plowed into back ally gradge doors so the Passanger can run into the shop to grad expenses stuff,,, throw it in the box then drive threw the building knocking out the wall too make a get away...

They could care less if they knock the siding off your house and push your car down the driveway into the street too make their get away...

Some of them are Brazen too say the least,,, they could care less if they run over you...

Heads up gang...

Just say'ing is all...
