We never backed our sleds into the v, when we put 5 inside them....... Drove 2 up into the front, then backed one into the middle , and backed 2 into the back, with the back of both sleds towards the outside of the trailer..... Still had lotsa room to move around and luggage, jerry cans etc..... Have pics somewhere, i think i posted on here last winter

That trailer with the two/tone, and the polished 12" siding would be $14,940.00 + GST. Included is - 6 x Aluminum wheels, Full White interior, Stainless Steel Cam Bars (front and rear) and 24" interior kickplate along with all standard features.

A 7 X 29 Tandem Axle with all the options above would be $12,760.00 + GST

This is the interior that you would be looking at and here is one with the two/tone and without the polished siding.

Thanks!

we've got a 28' Charmac tri-sport with a 6' nose. That leaves 22' of floor left, 8' wide. Pleanty of room for 4 174's.

RBaution just sold a couple of these for 12,000-11,500

I have put 4 163'' in my 23' interstate. Had to drive all sleds in the front v-door. The back of the two sleds in the v had to be pulled together to fit. Not the best way of doing it but it worked. I would think a 26' or 28' would fit 4 174''

cool.

OOOOK

im starting to look at getting one before xmas.

few more questions.

#1 - i have a friend telling me tripple axel sways less on the highway yes no? worth the hassel and maintenance?

#2 - seems alot of trailers im looking at have wheel wells coming up into the trailer. some fully and some inly a few inches. either way looks like a pain in the butt. do mountain sleds fit between these wells with a 8.5 wide? i would prefer a trailer where the wheels are completely under the trailer. however what is the drawback? stability?

#3 - most trailers have the wheels pretty well centered. some have them more towards the rear.... what are the advantages and disadvantages? i can see right away it would have more hitch weight.

#4 - flat vs v? alot of great deals on flat front trailers. i can get a 30+ft flat trailer for a very nice price. all our sleds have reverse and with the short towing distance am i going to care that i dont have a vnose? is the fuel economy that different from a v?

this trailer will eb staying in the town i ride at. and simply trailering back and forth on weekends 50k back and forth small trips.

Got the same trailer. 28' Charmac, insulated, 6000lb axles brand new 08 at Don Laing in Ponoka for 10300 this summer. This is one of the best built trailers I have seen in a long time!!
He also has non insulated version for under 10.

personally stay away from wheel wells inside the trailer. like you said pain in the azz. farther back/forward like you said is hitch weight. tripple may sway less but probably wont affect you much as you have a heavy enough tow vehicle. i towed a 28ft tandem v nose with my half ton. loaded to 7400lbs with no sway issues between here and nelson bc.

The wheel wells inside the trailer isn't that big of a deal Maxwell...Most with the wheelwells inside are a dual purpose as they are a car hauler and usually have 5200lb axels or better instead of the 3500lbs and they are usually a better built trailer as they are built to haul more weight...Usually better for resale also as they are more of a multipurpose trailer.

Also you should have no problems hauling 4 174" sleds in a 27-28ft V-nose...We haul 5 163" in ours and we have a work bench in the front also so I think you should have no problems with 4.

Better resale with the V-nose also and they do pull alot better for sure...If your running a diesel I don't think fuel mileage would be that different...Just my 2 cents....Good luck whatever you buy and don't forget a furnace....they are priceless on cold days.

With 4 sleds that long Maxwell you could drive 3 in and have to back the last one in as you lose some room with the skis if the wells are sticking up so the back ones wouldn't fit side by side faceing the front. Keep us posted on what U end up picking up for your hauler...Cheers.

great thanks for the advice. i hear ya on the furnace. i may or may not end up with one depending on price as i have a heated garage the sleds go into every night. im just tired of watching everyones 20,000$ investment get covered in road grime every trip to the hill. i do like the dual purpose idea also. im not worried about the weight of the trailer.
