Smith Basin avalanches; huge and maybe a size 5! The left hand or westerly chutes before one gets into the back. The video is reporting an error when I go to publish, so I'll work on that today.

Here is another video that worked and I included a short clip of the climbing the debris pile. Be careful out there as evidenced from this action, the consequences will be catastrophic!

I put out my rain gauge this week and so far we have had an inch and eight tenths (in true farmer language) of rain in town. Heehaw!!

Can't see the freezing level due to a low ceiling. Might be sweeeeet!

For the weekend warriors, be sure to stop at the gas station a buy a trail pass.

Hmmm...that reminds me. Between the 3 of us, My pass went mia, Jason's is coming off a bit, Dan's is o.k. Should a person get a replacement?

just got down from koko claims. all the slides going up the trail have come down big again. crazy year!
