Not yet Fred, IMHO. There are dudes riding above Mear Lake with reckless abandon but I am not one of them. Haven't played on the rollers in Cowboy Basin yet this winter. There are still stumps and chit in the cut blocks and I haven't ridden one of those either. Another couple feet and it would be good to free-wheel.

Had a good day up koko today playing with my new go pro mount.
Please be safe if you are going to ride here as there are many slopes that are extremely wind loaded and has been some recent slide activity!

Guessing we missed each other up there today!

Yes, the snow was great. Lots of slab releases and lots of wind loading (propagation was a real issue with remote triggers evident multiple times today). The last slide on the groomed trail came down after the groomer finished yesterday (sometime in the early evening??) leaving 4-5' of debris on the trail.

We played smart and were "meadow muffins" after the first slab release. The consequences were just too big to be playing on the slopes. Smith Basin has had lots of avalanche activity and IMHO, the slopes are not the place to be until the wind loaded snow is released naturally.
