There is no snow blah, blah, blah.............
If one knows where to look and takes the effort to get off the beaten path there is nice snow to be had (not the best snow but better than sitting around dreaming of days to come)......

Fred, that's the tops of the alders/willows. Not a lot of snow but it was very rideable.

It was a good day today after we rode two miles of glare ice.................that is pretty wicked on the side of a mountain with a 100' drop on the low side!

Since the snow has dropped (with the melt and settling), there are even more land mines. I think you were wise to stay where you did! The rocks under that Cat were incredible.......
The low snow/icy trail was enough to discourage me for the next little while. Coal Creek with the grooming and Crossing Creek with all the trees/shade should be okay for the ride up. Pretty hero type snow about Coal Creek and pretty tracked up above Crossing Creek. We really need a couple feet or more of fresh to cover the land mines and all the old trenches.

There was areas I wouldn't even venture into! It's that sketchy and if you've seen my sled up close youd know I don't shy away from much!
