Elk Valley weather

The second rain/snow event in a week! This morning at 4300' we've had 1/2" of rain overnight; the rocks up top are white again!! The temp is dropping and the precip is still falling. Nice.....even tho' it is way too early to be significant!

When the ceiling lifts, I'll take a picture.

ya here's picture from this side of rocks where we were camping last nite, with the first man's nite with 2 grandson's and son in law.

and is it ever loud hobo camping in a 4 place, when it's pounding rain whiched seemed for hours.

The ceiling is still down in the valley. Can't see above 4500' (1500m). Maybe later today I can get a picture.

kids have way more fun including myself, as you can drag/ carry anything in the trailer you want. kids/ grandson's can make as much of mess as they want. get home drop the back door and sweep it out all clean.:d

Yes, the snow is coming. Pictures from the north end of the valley. Fishing trip and we awoke to 2-3" of the nice white addicting stuff we call snow! Pictures taken at 5700' (1756m). Before and after shots....

Over an 1" of rain in the last 24 hours and it is still pi$$ing down.....ceiling is really low and I can't see the rocks so it will be interesting in the morning......

we were riding in south crowsnest sat 5" in the campsite and 10" 6200 feet up trails were very greasy but the sun did come out in the afternoon the nights did get chilly we managed to get in about 50 miles of riding

Getting this to the top again.....weather is warmer than pi$$, nice but not getting me excited! No snow on the top of the mountains and even at 6800', what little snow there was in the shade has melted.

Still had 1/2" of rain during the last week. What more can I say.....damn

TTT....while looking for picas, at 7000' there is no snow and another 1500' above this picture there is no snow! Patience is a virtue
