Just back home from the Edmonton sled show! It was nice to put faces to the names and great to be beside the S&M booth.
The snow sort of ended at Calgary and there was no snow on the mountains west of Calgary. Snow on the top of the rocks through the Pass. It appeared like the snow line or freezing line was at about 5000'. There was snow above that elevation and in some areas it was extensive. Some of the basins and the trees up in the basins were loaded. Forecast for Elk Valley is cold and more snow tomorrow.
There was 3" of frost in the ground before I left for Edmonton at 6000' so I'm thinking the new snow that fell will be forming the base and it is coming......yaaahhhhooooo!
Not quite like Colorado but none-the-less, it is starting:d:d:d
