50% cheaper?
FWIW that's what I was reading from some folks in Ontario, one guy had it calculated at 3c/km versus 8c/km

It's truly economics that will drive inovation and people to switch.FWIW that's what I was reading from some folks in Ontario, one guy had it calculated at 3c/km versus 8c/km
I'm not comfortable with the idea, although i have a feeling that some people are better off with the auto pilot.
What I don't get is if some of the most sophisticated ships in the world can collide out in the middle of the ocean...with only two ships in the vicinity, how is auto pilot of individual cars going to do better?

I was thinking more about the military ships with the most advanced detection systems in the world...they still manage to hit other large ships. Happened at least twice in the last few months.

Toured the Bush Aircraft Carrier in 2009 except bridge, communications/war room & engine room all of which are classified. Lots of the latest tech but still required human interpretation and interface and that is where the problems usually happen. For a glimpse of the level of complication: http://cimsec.org/options-stars-automated-celestial-navigation-options-surface-navy/34759
This is the sort of tech advancement that will make battery powered cars gain general acceptance.

For those that think Ev's are nonsense, don't buy one. ICE engines will be here for a long time and it will be interesting to see how much further their technology can be developed.
That sounds like a good stance to take, except that everyone that does buy one is stealing our tax dollars. Car rebates, no road tax, not paying for charging or charging infrastructure except for their own home.
Lmfao, seen this in salmon arm, first time ever in 5 years at the station
Guy was sitting there, twiddling his thumbs waiting for it to charge up
Fawk that lol
You are going to see a bank of those at the old gas station site on Rogers Pass. 100m away from that bank is going to be a huge diesel generator powering the EV charging site.
