Northlands parking is expensive. Should have make deal, stay Northlands and get free parking or move else like Mayfield or Red Deer. Red Deer Agri Trade Show is biggest trade show, they has race track, maybe use as grass race.
Or try new sled in race track as demo is only way to try out. Just thought. Red Deer has one.
What?

Thanks everyone for your ideas and comments! The 2011 show is now ready to launch and we are working with Northlands to make it bigger and better this year. Details will be constantly updated at AISAS |

There will be no show in Calgary or Red Deer this year, so the Edmonton show will be even bigger and better. Come join us at the biggest show west of Toronto!

The ASA continues to own and operate this show and all proceeds help the ASA and its member clubs make snowmobiling safer and more accessible for all Albertans. :snowmobilers_wave:

NICE. cant wait

all very good suggestions, Edmonton is the most central large center in the province so it makes sense to have the show continue in the same venue. I would like to see the show expand even more if money permits.
I would also like to see a more festive atmosphere in the show. Perhaps some music etc. beers gardens inside is a must!!! Remember slightly inebriated people tend to buy more!!:d:beer:

I am happy to hear that the Edmonton show is expanding. 2009 was the last year I attended the Calgary show and the hall where the H1N1 vaccinations were being administered was much busier than the sled show...infact the "naughty but nice" show was rocking as well. Nice mix: sick people, dirty people, and adrenaline junkies all at the stampede grounds--you choose which group fits what description, lol.

I'd like to see less non-industry related representation at the show...as much as I appreciate having my boots polished it is kind of awkward and my spine is not out of alignment as much as your pendulum/measuring stick/bathroom scale tells you. If my back is sore sell me an aftermarket seat, new rear suspension or an adjustable bar riser; not a vibrating massage pillow imported from China.

Props to the ASA for putting on such a successfull show in the Edmonton market. Every year I talk to people from GP, Fort Mac, Calgary, Saskatchewan, and BC. There is draw from all over western Canada for this show. Despite its success, I think it can expand even more. Maybe to motorcycle show or boat and sportsmen show levels of attendance.

hoping to see some options for women's gear (sledding jackets, pants etc) and not just pink femmy stuff..... many of the shops don't seem to have much for women to wear.
FXR??

DITTO!!!!!!!

Klim and FXR have both had a few women's items at the shows, but pretty much gear suited for trail riding, or for less aggressive riders that need extra warmth. Nothing that was a layering system, or suitable for aggressive mountain riding. Sounds like better things coming this year :)

You should really like the new klim gear comin out for next season for the women then.

Hope someone thinks to bring stock to the show :D
For years now there's been women's gear out there...but very little at the shows for sale. Women + product = $$$$$$$ I leave with as much money as I go in with...cuz there's no product to buy. This goes for boots...helmets...protective gear, the whole nine yards.

The Betties are looking to bring some women's products with us to the show, so if any suppliers want to 'use' us for distribution, we are game!

And she is 'stylin' :D What was the brand of hers?

Slednecks has some women's gear at the show sometimes...and there were a some Doo womens shell pants in Edmonton last year now that I think about it...first shell pants I've seen from SkiDoo...and they were a nice pant.

I found my HMK womens gear this year more 'drafty' than my Klim gear...and I got wet through it. :( Never been wet or drafty in my Klim gear...

Hey Chris if your listening..... I still strongly suggest we do the "buy your ASA pass at the show and recieve free/discounted admission, try it and then compare the #'s to last year I'd bet you would notice a huge increase in ASA memberships...

Just sayin...

that might be hard to administer, as many clubs rely on the revenue from asa passes sold..... Also the asa sells memberships at the show. Come up with a way, bogger, and present it to chris and the asa and your club?? I think it's a great idea!!!

I've already discussed it with chris, and he's trying to figure something out, I was just reminding him....

way I see it is...

1) Every pass that is purchased prior to the show includes free admission to the show, this will look after the people who buy show tickets in advance.
2) ASA has a sales booth set up in the concourse outside the event hall, anyone who purchases an anual ASA pass at the booth is given free entry to the show
3) Family admission should also be made available so a family of 4 can take in the show for $40

In the past there have been coupons available in the local newspapers for reduced admission, I think rather than use the spot in the paper for a coupon that spot should be used to inform people that the purchase of an ASA pass will get them into the show for free and the general importance of ASA membership.

Theres a spot on the form to write which club you belong to, just fill that in so that your local club gets their cut.
