Hey everyone its shaping up to be a sweet season for snow by the looks of things we have over a ft. of frsh snow at the Lodge which means more up in the alpine !! Drop us a note if ya need some more info .... new wesite will be up and running soon !

A little update . Yesturday we went for a quick ride up to the alpine and where amazed how sweet the riding was 2 1/2 ft of snow and its only NOV 1 ! Excellent riding conditions for this time of year ! Better yet its dumping right now !!

Road isnt bad right now as they are logging up to approx km 27. Just have to watch for logging trucks !

We had a couple drops of rain yesturday at the lodge here but cooled of pretty good this evening ..... so should be getting some more snow soon !

was sledding in seymour past few days. 7-8 feet on thursday up north of town and 4-5 feet on lichen. still some debris on lichen. we were thinking about coming over to the lodge next weekend down the grizzly lake trail, will anyone be around the lodge next weekend.

Hey great to hear you been out enjoying the early snow ... its rely unreal as it just keeps coming. It has snow up here pretty much everyday for the past week ! As far as next weekend goes ... Yes someone will be here if you guys happen to drop by ... Cheers

they are connected to crowfoot mountain, and most people that ride crowfoot go straight to grizzly(like me)
but once i get on grizzly mountain i have no clue were the trail is that leads to the lodge, how many kms are you guys apporx from the 2nd playpen on crowfoot??

In reply to Boondockingdawg ... where are we located ? the Grizzly Lodge is actually located at the base of Pukeashun Mt which is approx 10 km north west of Crowfoot Mt Check it out on google earth ... the riding area is massive

Spent the day riding up around Grizzly Lodge. We rode the trail up to the ridge (gas drop) and played near here since the visibility was poor. To give an idea of the amount of snow.....no one made it out the usual trail onto the ridge! We had to backtrack up the lower angled gulley. It is hard to get an accurate snow depth with all the transporting by wind, but the boot penetration is crotch! (3 feet +)

The clouds did finally break, but we were across the valley towards Lichen at this point. The day was GREAT!!!! There has been a lot of wind effect at the higher elevations but coverage was good. There was an ugly rain crust on the N side of Lichen at around 6000 feet. It was over a quarter inch thick!!! Breaks out in plates.....

Observed some fracturing in the wind loaded areas....so be aware and ride safe!

Hey finally got some pics for you guys to check out ... All taken yesterday ! What an incredible Blue Bird Day .... by the looks of our snow pack we now have more than last year in January ! We found some awesome untouched powder below the gas drop, carved that up then headed across the land bridge for the basin on the north side of Little Pukeashun ( first pic ) Where as you can see my sled was rely wanting to climb !! LOL
