Ace set up, full raptors. Going to see specialty about their belt drive tomorrow, and she’s getting a turbo....naturally
I thought for sure you would be trying Dave's new rear suspension setup.

First Doo I’ve ever owned, I like advise from guys that I trust. I’ve heard that the setup I want is a solid choice, but this weekend I’ll get a chance to talk to everyone else that’s ride these things and broke them. I have the cats and the Axys sleds dialed in for me and my ridding but this is a whole new deal and I’m currently in Grade 2....

Ace is good, but expensive for what it is.
And your still gonna want a coupling block with the ace for a turboed sled imo.

Contact enzo in high river. 1700 bucks and yah get a freeride rear shock and all the shocks resprung and revalved. Keeps the front end down drastically even with a turbo.

It helps but is not the answer. The guy that bought my 17 G4 165 still has a lot of lift with Enzo's mod. Coupled rear suspension is a must in the steeper climbs.

I agree 100%
I have witnessed stuff a boosted sled could not climb out of until it fully coupled the rear.
It's really quite amazing how well it works .

Any thoughts on the adjustable limiter strap? Can’t see it making a huge difference with boost..?

Ski doo's skid is by far the worst out of the three, it's technology is old school with the torsion springs, the shocks that they come with x pack, or sp pack are in my opinion terrible compared to what you get with the other brands for the same money. Your best bet, especially of you are going turbo is to either put a hybrid skid ( racers edge rear section or equivalent) or do a full aftermarket skid and never look back. I have spent big money on my machines trying to band aid them up with coil over conversions and raptors, I even developed spring spacers for the torsion springs to try help. All of those options are just band aids to a poor skid, and yes they do work and make it better, BUT once you step into the turbo side of things the whole skid is pretty much a paper weight.

It's FastFatmer first doo tho so he should ride it once with the stock suspension just to see what a difference it makes.

I totally agree. try it out, see what you like see what you dont. try tune it up the best you can and go from there. aftermarket skids are not cheap now days

Well I dunno what to say there, guess he didnt play with the dampening on the rear shock, thats not our experience. We even have it on a boosted xm, and will have it on a boosted G4.

It helped Caper but it wasn't the answer. That sled needs a Baker rear arm, especially being a 165.
