Wow what a great update Joel. Amazing pictures of the conditions and the pit is there for all to see.

Thanks Mark. I forgot to add details of the pit I dug. SW aspect. 30deg. 10" set up snow on top of three small ice layers, sugar between. Then more set up snow to the ground. Total depth 32"? Top 10" slab broke free on second blow from the elbow. This was dug friday afternoon in the sun. Yesterday was cloudy and rainy all day, to the top. Did not dig a pit and rode mellow slopes. Some NE facing steep slopes have let go in past 48hrs.

...I'm trying to be better at this part of stuff so any advice here will be humbly accepted. Cheers, Holio

Praying for the snowline to come down a little this next week, although looking at the temps I cannot see that happening... would be nice to get down here this weekend! No one needs to (nor should they) ride aggressive in early season to minimize the risk of damages, rode Sale in Revy two weekends ago to scratch the itch and was exceptionally well for Oct 28th. Hoping for another ride out West this weekend, really appreciate all the progress photos

I think you are being a little optimistic, but from Tuesday on as the freezing level starts to come down as long as the precip continues it looks better.

I was just down the north fork road yesterday ( road to mustang powder) 45 km, there won't be access to eagles at all, even to the gas drop


But if ya try, please take pics ect on the shenanigans lol
