Any fresh out that way yet? Forecast is looking either great or awful depending on if it snows or rain for this weekend

When is the next sicamous club meeting? I would like to attend. Does anyone have any info on how long this logging is going to continue? We rode on Monday. DO NOT ATTEMPT to pull a trailer up to km 4 unless you have balls of steel, radios, and chains the first hill is very icy and logging trucks are flying down the hill. Decks and trucks and radios until they get this sorted out with the logging company. We took the new trail on the way in, and the old trail on the way out. (Stick left at km 21) to take the "new trail" it adds a few kms on and actually meets back up with the original trail just above the gas drop. Nothing spectacular just way safer for the groomer operator, it was pounded out pretty good but their was a lot of sleds in their this past weekend so no complaints they will be grooming soon? I hope? It could really use a quick groom even if it's just to 25K...Old trail coming back out was the same creek crossing trail as always. Still pretty early for Eagles but always a good day. Still needs a couple more big dumps to fill in the creeks up top. The lakes are starting to freeze up pretty good now. Someone riding a Polaris Pro is missing a Fuel Jug...I grabbed it for you, and then your empty jug of Polaris Oil on the trail we grabbed that for you to. PM if you want it back, or know who's it is/was thanks happy sledding!
Just got a email, Tuesday Dec 15 is the club meeting

i can show you a different way in that hits the owlhead cabin access is great.

there are a alot of different ways to get to the owls head cabin , but you still have to use the trail to get to certain spots - so if it rains down low the trail either becomes mud or it makes the snow turn into ice which we experienced last year

So, we had a team to tackle Queest today, Billdozer, Rightsideup, drinkerstate and myself, sounds like trouble already don't it! While we thought we'd have some clear patches up top, it turned out to be fogged in all day long, but that doesn't mean we didn't find trouble! Well, I didn't, but everyone else did.........................? We dropped down below the cabin to start, Rightsideup had a few issues negotiating the first hills he tried. So, we move up a ledge to the area just below the towers and played in the tree's there. Even though drinkerstate denies having any "problems" I did manage a pic of him sneaking his sled out of a hole he dug, ya Sled-dawg, you! Then if it wasn't him it was Billdozer having gyro issues again, or was it Rightsideup, I lost track! And, just for the record, I tossed in a pic of my sled which looks like it was stuck but it wasn't really, Sled-dawg kept bugging me about what was written on the bottom of my sled so I just flipped it up over so he could read it, ya, that's what happened, the 4' trench was there before I got there. Anyways, considering the whiteout stuff, we had a blast of a day, about 5" of fresh, it had setup pretty good, and there weren't to many places we couldn't go, although the odd hole would show up now and again. Thanks guys, lets pick a clear day next time and really burn some fuel! We unloaded at the bottom but the road was solid ice up to 3km on the way up and dirt showing through on the way down, need a dump, of snow that is. Once you get to 6km its pretty decent, enough snow on the sides to grab and keep things from melting, great conditions up top!.............Sherm
