I am installing e-track in my new trailer. Instead of on the floor I want to put it on the bottom of the wall, maybe like an inch off the floor. Is this a good idea ??? I figure less dirt and mud in the holes.
Then I want to put another row at about chest height (or a little lower)for securing taller stuff. What have you guys done ????
What screws are you guys using to secure the e-track to the trailer ??? I plan on screwing it on every stud OR should I put more screws in ???
Let me know what works !!
Thanks :d

Bullseye,

I will show you tomorrow how to mount your E-Track and what screws I use for the application. I install a lot of it for my customers in their Cargo units. Gregg Distributors is the cheapest that I have found for pricing on the track itself. Here is a picture of the E-Track at floor level and just above the 24" ATP kickplate.

See ya tomorrow! Drive safe!

Couldn't wait !!!! I mounted up my e-track as soon as I got home !! Used 1" self-drilling screws aiming for the wall studs. Then I put 1" wood screws about every 3rd hole to keep the e-track snug. (Just like Ron suggested today) I put my top e-track a little higher (than in Firefly's photo) so it would be easier to tie in taller stuff. I also put about 10 d-ring tie-down points thru out the trailer too. I guy can all ways use lots of tie-down points. Will see how this works and I can always add more if I need them. What do you guys think ??
