They won't allow you to drink or have a fire after 11.p.m as well in Banff park...(Two jack lake) and some others.....So as soon as 11 comes the fire goes out and you sober up ....All this will acomplish is more destruction in the random camp spots by the a holes who don't care for anyone else but themselves....There sure as heck better be more law and order in the random camp areas .fines to the idiots seem to be the only thing that will work,,
I am almost to the point of not wanting to go anywhere on the long weekends

:rolleyes:Good luck with that ....they are going to be too busy trying to enforce common sense elsewhere!!!

We stopped going out camping a few years back becasue of the insanity. There were so many problems RC's and Park Wardens couldn't keep up. Whatever happened to getting pissed around the fire telling puke stories of past. Right from 16 to now that all we did. Last few longs out it was stereo wars and large parties everywhere. Massive fires and people party hopping till the sun came up. IF that's what you think camping is, setup a fire in your back yard and go to town.

I have talked to the wardens and honestly they are not going to come bust you on purpose if your acting civil. ONe step out of line though and it's zero tolerance. I have no problem with that.

Some of he parks on the list have had this coming for along time. Jarvis, Pigeon, Miquelon, Aspen....all a little too close to the city and it's easily accesible for the idiots.

I can agree with it to some point but it sucks being young and grouped with these idiots :realmad: Like at sylvan 2 years ago, wardens had to pound their chests early and gave drinking in public tickets for guess what....walking across the road to our other site at like 6 pm. Then NO music past 10pm I think it was? And even said no fire either I think? Can't remember.

I can understand them being frusterated, later on that night they had to escort a bunch of younger kids outside because they kept walking around with 40's and offering it to anyone on the road (the final straw was someone offering it to a warden on the road  ).

I don't see why they don't tag the plates and any names possible of people who are problems and ban them for life from the parks. It would get rid of a lot of people fast.

Some campgrounds are way to nazi though. Got kicked out of one last year before we even got out of our vehicles. Told us not to bother unpacking, we'd be kicked out in a few hours. Just because we are young and theres lots of people  Didn't even want to refund the money for the weekend either WTF!

They can ban alcohol, I am sick of most campgrounds now anyways. They are such a joke anyways. But they got to think, how many families will shy away because of it to? Even families, most of them want to still have a few. Even without alcohol there will STILL be idiots....

well that is absolutely stupid....good thing we only camp at forestry sites.....

Was just going to say the same. We have camped at Provincial sites and hated it, Forestry sites all the way, there you can do what you want and they don't rape you for your site fee and 4 pieces of wood don't cost $5

It's been coming for years. Waaay to many dipshits out there. If you want to party until 4AM, camp in the bush. Lot's of people want to camp without being involved in a party and be forced to listen to shitty music.
If I never stay in a campground again it will be to soon, to many fugtards that don't respect other people.

Um...your spot is booked at Cow Lake again....

We camp at least every other weekend all summer, every summer. But we only do a campground twice a year....one at Fairmont, and Cow Lake when DRD brings the Nautique out. Gotta say, I don't really mind all the rules at those places (both private campgrounds)....nice and quiet and relaxing. Other than that it's boondockin' in the bush.

I like Cow Lake, wasn't it Pecos who had to take the axe over to the neighbours the one year to enforce quiet time?
To bad booking a spot there means a 90% chance I have to work that weekend.
