Driveshaft clamp isn't the fix Polaris claims!

Just wrecked my driveshaft riding around in the back field giving my neighbors 8 year old daughter a ride...going 5mph! Had the clamp installed when there was 30 miles on the sled and there's 330 miles on it now. Has anyone out there had the same issue, Cycleworks in Edmonton claims that this is the first one they've heard of.

Perhaps the clamp needs a clamp?

Did it slide over? I've seen a couple where the clamp slid and didn't support the correct area anymore.

Dont take this the wrong way but there have been way too many BS posts on this site to take all of them seriously, ESPECIALLY when it's your second post. PHOTOS are needed please. I drive the crap out of mine and so far so good, I also have not heard of anyone failing one with the clamp until now so get the pics up asap.

Probably installed without loctite and moved. There are 20,000 pros in North America and I have only seen one picture of a failure on a stocker with the clamp.

Oh because it's my second post I don't have any street credit?! My first post was where to get the clamp. It's already at the dealer getting a new driveshaft, so there's no pics on my end.

It didn't slide off the original position, that would make more sense if it did.

probably mounted futher out from the end of the shaft no close enough to the ends of the shafts...i have 450 hard miles on my 13 pro and not 1 hiccup to speak of...except for i gave myself a hernia trying to pull out a boosted nytro in cooke city!! so must for my sledding season need surgery now!

Now Cycle works can't say its the first..... wonder if Polaris will say that?

Has NOTHING to do with your street credit because you have none with 2 posts, it has more to do with understanding the failure, this site is meant to be helpful to other readers and posting that your shaft broke helps no one, take pictures so that we can see did the clamp move? did it break the clamp? did it twist in half? WE HAVE NO IDEA from what you posted. All you did is fuel to doo boys for another 10 page thread full of garbage comments that don't help anyone else that actually has a PRO.

Should be about 5 seconds and one of our aftermarket genius's will be selling a "Clamp Damper" or a "Clamp Cramper"!!

Exactly, these types of posts should be kept hush...hush.... I don't want my buddy's who ride Pro's worrying about a Klamp that may or may not fail.....Shhhhhhhh.......quiet please.....

It didn't slide off the original position, that would make more sense if it did.

akita12... which suppliers clamp did you use? and did the drive shaft shear off flush with the clamp, or was it more of a tear? The reason I'm asking is if it was more of a tear and pulled aluminum out from under the clamp maybe it was a poor fit or loosened or lack of adhesive?
None the less, I did mention in a post away back when this all started that it is obvious that some of the earlier or first driveshafts did not have glue all the way around the insert and putting on the clamp cannot and will not fix that..it will only prolong the inevitably...

On a good note... it happened close to home!!!
