We have a thermometer that measures both indoor and outdoor temps. About an hour ago I walked past it and noticed that both temps were the same. 20.1C. Right to the tenth of a decimal.

Then I turned on the satellite receiver to listen to some jazz. The one jazz station was playing a song with a xylophone in it -which I don't care for. I turned to the other jazz station and, wouldn't you know it, another tune with a xylophone. What were the odds?

I can't wait for the next "double" to appear. Life can be strange at times.:D

After I finished cutting the lawn, I took my shoes off, and dropped them from a height of about 3' onto the concrete floor of the garage. The shoes hit the floor and bounced over each other assuming the right foot in the left spot and vice versa. They were perfectly aligned, seemingly ready to be slipped into next time, except for the left-right bugaboo.

I thought it was kinda' neat how the shoes lined themselves up, but was troubled by the possibility of putting the wrong shoe on the wrong foot next time. I therefore rearranged the shoes in the proper orientation. We humans are always seeking out order it seems; we try to keep chaos at arm's length. I walked away disappointed that I succumbed to the human impulse to seek order:( On another front there were a couple of concerns regarding "Jazz" and "misleading" thread title... As far as Jazz goes while not Panterra, VoiVod, Megadeath I as of late have been trying to figure out the allure. Blues I get (sorta R&R beginnings) however Jazz at least to me seems like modern baroque/classical. Now for the misleading thread title perhaps here is a little redemption..... 21440_10201501986290970_462204535_n.jpg

I like most music but never got into jazz. Blues is ok. Last time I heard a good blues rap was in Vegas. BB King himself.

Cool, music if your tastes are varied depending on activity, mood, state of mind one can always find a genre to suit. Blues seem to be ambient while tasking, such as rebuilding turntables or fixen quads. Other times I find Metal great for hard production type work. I would encourage everyone to listen to a high end system, it might turn out to be a whole new appreciation for genres one otherwise wouldn't have even considered. Unfortunately on a scale of 1-10 the majority of newer popular music is so ridiculously over compressed that there are no dynamics. A prime example would be to take an original 70's recording play it then grab something popular from the mid 90's on and without touching the volume see how much louder the newer recording is.
Just another caffeine induced rant...maybe
