Dodge starter problems

can the plunger on the clutch be by passed so it will start with out the clutch.... there is a certain spot on the clutch that will let the starter do its' thing,,,, but it is not always in the same spot..... have to move clutch in and out to find it , with the key in start position..... very frustrating ... it will not engage at all now ...... any ideas

switch should bve just under your firewall unplug and tie the wires together and you should be good to go. just dont start in gear lol.:eek:

from all the boys on here saying how well the dodges work you must be lying, should never have any problems with a dodge.

NOPE not lying .... there all F%^&*ING JUNK .... but this one's made me alot of money:d

thanks magnet .... i will try this right away and let you know..it will be a habit to push the clutch in after 11 years with this old girl :d

ok.... so i tied these wirers together and all i have now is a clik clik..... what now ?? .... i got the charger on it .... all fuses are good :confused: maybe i need to crack a beer

but at least its clicking. booster up and try again possibly starter?

Clicking is usually a bad ground or power connection,.. or dead spot in starter, clicking is the Bendix coming out, but the starter not turning over.

took i out and had it bench tested ... it is pooched... got 11 years out if it ...new one tomorrow thanks guys :beer: time
