Not to derail the thread Bandit but Doo's don't have that problem. As a bonus, you can reverse with them in the down position.

But I have broke a few of the plastic doo mounts

Hey Bandit will these work for cable scratchers?

Can't see why not. I used to use them and as long as they were close enough to hold the carbide end they should be good to go.

Yup. Gas line does this too. Rubbed right through the coating to bare aluminum

oh and they will work great with DOO scratchers. Just came from CKMP who graciously let me test them beside the stocks on a turbo.

I have a set of Ice Storm reversible scratchers. They came with a pair of holders that bolted to your rails. The first set broke off but they shipped me a new set that has hold up. The scratchers pop off of them occasionally so I hold them on with a long Velcro strap that I wrap around them. Yours look much nicer and "beefier".
