You can't say the boaters should be charged in one post, and then say they should have rocks thown at them in another.
If you believe in the rule of law the fisherman should also be charged with assault for throwing the rocks.
Last time I checked a boat wake can't hurt you when standing on shore, rocks thrown at a moving vehcile is a different matter.
Both parties had the opportunity to let this go and carry on with their day, instead they both decided to escalate the situation, now one guy has a bruised face, and 3 others are wanted by police for assault.
And the media gets what they want, to create a story of their choosing, based on incomplete facts, to create anger and division in society.

Maybe needed that speed to stay on plane ( big boat) , maybe he’s just an a hole , maybe the fishermen should have reeled in when they heard him coming , maybe the fisher guy that threw the rock is one of the no motor activists , maybe the if the boater is charged with assault so should the rock thrower ? Agreed he deserved a punch in the head for the rock throwing, regardless of the reason .
But , I’ve spent a lot of years and hours on the river and have now sold both my big boat and little boat , partly out of getting bored with it , but also because of the new breed of jet boater . We used to look forward to getting out going for a run , skinny or big , then pulling in and having beverages with other boaters who you could enjoy. Last few years ( maybe a bit of old guy syndrome) there a an abundance of new boaters who really are just plain inconsiderate a$$holes, and truly are damaging an already suspect reputation of the whole group.
Just Because you can scratch up a down payment and finance a $140,000 boat doesn’t make you smart or knowledgeable about river running or etiquette , and thats Becoming evident , and a shame .

Yes 3 on one. What I see in video is 3 guys on one guy. The other fisherman stood there watching instead of helping. And yes the guys in boat didn’t handle it right. Pretty stupid to do something like that in front of so many witnesses. Not only that, morons like that ruining the sport for others. And losing places to go boating just like what’s happening with quadding and sledding

Come on , get serious ! Hard to imagine a boat turning around , coming back at some random fishermen and beaching and whacking just one guy out of 4 or 5 for no reason ! And it wasn’t 3 on one , it would have been 3 on 4 or 5 if the others would have stepped in , but they didn’t , and that’s very likely cause they knew he had thrown the rock. I think the boaters may not have handled it great , but chances are none of those fishermen will ever throw a rock at boats !
But I agree , the arseholes And morons are taking over many power sports , although in this case I don’t suspect the boater acted without reason.
