Nothing useful learned. The only thing learned that censorship or fear limits the expansion of mental capacity. Education is great, but is limited to theory. Practical knowledge comes from experience.... pushing limits, breaking boundrys and defiance create the optimum environment for positive progression.

basically your saying that people express their minds to certain limits because of what they learn in school and there scared of what people will think if they do?

close..... People expand thier minds to certain levels / limits based on what society has deemed relevent and required. The modern education system, in my opinion, has major flaws. When I was in high school, I was requied to have 5 english credits to graduate (Ontario). This to me rediculous.... grade 9 thru 12 english as well as creative writing. I had fully functional communication skills at grade 9 already. ya, I didn't know some of the bigger words, but for what I wanted to do in life, I didn't need them. I fully believe in the asian and european education system that focuses on specialized skills and train in those. If you plan on entering the archetectual field, why wouldn't you focus on maths and physics instead of learning how to creatively present a sentense?

I also feel that the drive for success and riches has put the learning process into an accelerated state. Kids no longer take time off before college / university to "find themselves" before taking on the education which will hopefully deliver them to independant wealth. Based on this, I feel that many educated "professionals" lack the skills needed to compete or perform adequatly. They rely on senior experiencve to teach them the things they should know before sitting a management position..... a position that they gained on educated knowledge not real world experience!!

oh i see what your saying. you think that the education system that canada or certain provinces use is "not good" and after reading your post i gotta be honest. i think your 100% right. i HATE art. there is know point in it and our teacher doesnt give a flying (you know). he tells us to draw stuff while he sits on his fat (you know) and basically sleeps with his eyes open. i failed my art semester with a proud 21 %. i did not care and i still dont care. our math teacher is really a gym teacher who asks other teachers for help and doesnt know what shes doing and always finds a way to onfuse us and then go off topic which makes it worse. My school Hillmond central school gets all the rejections from the lloydminster schools and i hate it. our principle is the lovey dovey know good priniciple who frowns if you say bum which is retarded. i am the "badass" of my grade and most of the school. i have made the teachers CRY! i mean for god sake this is ruining the youth. i dont usually speak my mind but it makes me mad when they get away with this crapt! i damn near failed gr. 9 and im in everyones oppinion a "smart kid" well the only classes i failed where: math, art, home ec(sewing), and health. they dont even offer choices in the 9 classes TOTAL! i dont know a single word in any other language cept english. in spite of all this i have had to cope with basically teaching myself. its horrible! the only good classes because the teachers where specifically taught to teach them for that level are 3! social studies, ela and shop. i hope know other school has to put up with this crapt cause if they do then canada mys well Quit right now!

Well.... The mighty dollar dictates motivation. If the teachers don't get paid well, they for the most part don't care. the only great teacher I had was my grade 12 english teacher that honestly, didn't care about the pay cheque.... he was there for enlightenment and education. he passed me through his class and I never showed up half the time. He passed me because we had an agreement.... If I didn't skip his class to go drink or goof off, he would let me skip to work..... I worked through school logging and he knew it. He felt this was the most educational thing I could do. It was way better than any english class. I learned dedication, endurance, tolerance and ethics.... english taught me that Romeos stray tail didn't own a razor!!

I'm worried about if Murms sheep will panic in the dingy... Last thing you want is mutton flailing around and poping holes in the plastic raft!!!

Wonder if the velcro belt doubles as a PFD???
