When is diesel typically changed from summer to winter? The reason I am asking, is that I can't remember the last time I put fuel in my truck? The temp is dropping today, and I was going to go out for a bit. I'm thinking that it was about 3 weeks ago???

You shouldn't run in to fuel gelling issues yet, but if you are worryed put in a little antigel. I think up in GP at the CO-OP we just switched to winter fuel, but i'll know for sure when I calculate fuel economy on this tank.

I needed to know this for my Diesel generator that can go a few months before refilling. I fill up at Shell and asked the question. They told me they never change their fuel, it is always winter compatible..... So far no issues. It's been three years...Shells fuel... And quote from site... At a glance
Shell V-Power Diesel is our best-ever diesel fuel, specially created for today's diesel engine technology.

Shell V-Power Diesel is developed by Shell's international scientists to work in all diesel-powered engines, and contains a unique additive technology that helps provide optimal year-round engine protection and performance for Canada's unique weather conditions.

Thanks for all of the input!!! I guess I have nothing to worry about right now, I took the Company truck (gas pot) out yesterday because I wasn't sure??? I have to use my truck this weekend, and I'll fill it up with Shell. I probably won't drive it again till the end of Nov.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has questioned this, so more input would be appreciated.

It's good to know. I drive very little in the winter and a tank lasts over a month.
