Drum brakes ,3 wheel drive and gutless........what did i miss...lol My Brigs and stratten lawnmover runs forever too, but no really cares anyways.......
Ive owned a few hondas, have you owned an xp ? MY GUESS IS NO.

Back on topic, any of the big bores will work well in all conditions. With out the hassle of a diesel i would think.....What are you doing with it...???

I have a 450, they are excellent for moving stuff around, no belts to start on fire, simple semi-auto shifting.
Never owned an XP, do have a 350 Trailboss though.

ok guys this is why I was thinking of a diesel.I end up in real heavy clay mud a lot, it,s not deep but sticky. When this stuff starts to dry you can,t even see your wheels.

Over heating and burning belts are my big problem,At times I do have small trailers behind me,So it,s a real work horse I need.Honda works fine but I had real problems with the electric shifts on them, kawaski and polaris really hard on belts.Yammaha and cats have a disc clutch before the belt which seems to help with the belts.

You guys in whitecourt should know what mud I,m talking about, not the fun skagg but that **** clay when it starts drying.

Are you going to put a chrome 6" stack on it too !?!? :D

you bet but have to put duel on even if ones not hooked up,geter chiped then big chrome
bumpers and black out head and tail lites, and of course have to have the big balls hanging from the hitch.
She will be one fine hillbilly buggy.

need some thing for heavy work that's why I was going for the grizz but then I seen the diesel

i love my grizzly in low i had no problem hauling a full moose through the swamps around here... yes i know wasn't ideal but had to be done in a hurry.. didn't want to leave it with the bears over night and had a guy 5 km away with a farm tractor waiting for me... when your buy yourself, freezing cold a shop and a farm tractor is a big incentive to drag a moose...the quad pulled like a champ... i love honda's too... i'd really start to look at the foreman 500 with the manual shift too... wish they made a 700

The diesels are very slow and plodding. They will pull a house though ! Lol. As mentioned above whitbread over on ACHAT builds a turbo and exhaust set up that really wakes them up. He also gives some good tips on tweaking the fuel screw

ya the grizz is a tough machine, had a 600 once only problem front end disappearing in the skagg, tried wider tires on the front still just nose first and baried in the skagg. But this is for a different purpose so the grizz is still on the table.Talked to a few dealers all say same thing big slow heavy work horse,

Was really hoping some one on here had one but I don't think many of them ever got sold,A 2014 is over 12 grand not cheap ether.

Articcat is still making them so there has to be market for them, its just not here.At 900lbs its not something you want in skagg. The resale value is probably pretty low so you buy it have to buy it for life. But it sounds like it still may be what I need. Also it,s on a two up frame and has power steering, have a trv now and really like the ride.

Plus you can put the dump box on it

really didn't know that, dealer said nothing, but that's one more thing going for it.Wonder if I could talk dealer into test riding it for a day,Any body interested in finding out what this thing will actually do.

Polaris is making a full size diesel ranger. Would be good for work. And they make a hydrostatic drive one to not sure if it's the diesel or not but that might be you ticket for not blowing belts.

Blue Judy Creek gumbo..... Makes your tires big if you don't go fast enough. Diesel ranger with tracks might be just the thing

LOL Dont think you have to worry about blowing belts on a 550 / 850 polaris..........STOCK they will turn 32 inch mud tires ,in that kinda mud ALL DAY LONG.........PLUS they have the power to turn them! I cant remember the last time i heard of an XP blowing a belt, that was not driver error (high range)......
Quads (most brands any ways) have come a long ways in last few years.....You could ride in that mud all day every day and not worry about a belt...........This is a fact.

Diesel or gas,,,chances are it has the same belt and clutch set up or very close anyways....
Gas (canams & popo & 1000AC ) have the power to clean out your tires with wheel speed in that nasty stuff, try that on a honda......lol

Money shouldn't be a issue as you make enough not to live in a trailer court with camera's pointing at your house apparently
