For any of you that have parted out sleds...how do you determine pricing for parts? Previously I have used 50% of the online Arctic Cat dealership pricing and it worked out OK. Just listed my 2017 M8000 LTD on Kijiji (and here) yesterday evening and so far have had to deal with around a dozen people who seem to want things for free. Is 50% the price of new unreasonable?

Depends on how “used” the machine is. Typically if it’s in better condition or like “new” you can 80% or 70% but usually for a normal wear and tear sled 50% is perfect

40-60% of list price, depending on what it is, higher demand parts are a little easier to get some $$ out of. Lower demand but more expensive parts cane be harder to get good $$ out of.

The more the person buys the more flexible I am on price, the less reasonable they are the more he price goes up.

I have some stuff at 1/3 of retail price and it is new takeoff stuff and nada for action. I recently sold a part I bought on Facebook for a great price into the US for almost triple my money so I think its hit and miss?

I've always used 50% of new as a rule of thumb. Certain items are hard to get (ie collectors items, vintage stuff etc) and may command a higher price, it can also go the other way. Lots of kijiji warriors out there that seem to enjoy wasting a guy's time. There are two things I absolutely despise doing, #1 selling anything on kijiji/marketplace, #2 buying a new vehicle and dealing with slick-haired salesmen.

I have parted out 8 sleds this year and 50 percent is the basic, some stuff more some stuff you give away lol. 3 inch tracks for example more than 50 percent ,in good shape 75 percent and they will come usually pretty quick .Covid prices made it hard too find used sleds too part out, Always looking ,missed 2 last week ,prices are comming down!

Generally I price my stuff to move - 30-40% of new. But I don’t have time to sit around waiting for kijiji clowns to call. If I lived in town I’d do better...
