Hey guys I just upgraded my 10 yr old to a CR85 from a KX65. On his very last ride on the kx he dented the pipe and I really don't want to buy a new pipe since he won't be riding it anymore. Tried using air pressure and heat to pop the dent out but the rubber just popped from the heat. Anyone know of anywhere that fixes 2 stroke pipes in or around Edmonton relatively cheap. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have heard of some people filling the part of the pipe with water, and putting it in the freezer. pushes the dent out, but chance of cracking a seam. just my 2C

I wonder if you stick a welding rod on it (wire feed at too low amperage) and then heat it cherry with a torch, if you could use that stuck on wire to pull the dent out. Might need several wires.

You need a uni spotter. Auto body shop tool that spot welds studs on to metal to pull dents. I have one but I'm swamped for the next few weeks. Unless you're not in a hurry.

Plug both ends one solid with a rubber stopper with a metal strap the other end with a rubber stopper with a air chuck and a flat strap, clamp the strap around the end of the pipe, put 5 pounds of air in it heat the dent up with a torch and it pops right out, I had done this lots on my two stroke pipe the only down fall is it discolour's the pipe where it is heated, just be careful to not heat it up to much or put to much air in it.

You can just replace that pipe with a surplus. Or have it done by a pro, but dent may still be visible.
