Re: December Conditions & Riding

Rode into Renshaw yesterday afternoon. Thin snow for first few kms of the trail. Watch out for tree across the trail about 10 kms up from parking lot. Very cold ride up the valley. Was dissapointed that warm up cabin had no heat. Out of propane. Be prepared for very cold conditions. Trail was in good condition all the way up. Snow was OK up top but by then we were too cold to stay and enjoy it. Going to try Valemount today, and going to dress warmer.

The Tree was at 5km in, but it will need to move as soon as they groom. Trail was excellent. Went in at 27. Great day for us. Sun was out. Only saw other people when we got back around to the cabin at the end of the day. About a foot of snow on top of the base. Yes the trail was cold as Fawk!

About 6” inches of snow on top of the base Friday afternoon at bell. Looked like somebody scheduled an 850 show and shine at the cabin but not a sled on the hill!

Middle of no where and the hot chocolate and warm cabin wasn’t ready ??
Man oh man Barry !!
No need to apologize , it’s winter and sometimes you can’t just roll in and adjust thermostat.
Cheers

Nope. Just cold for us on Friday/Saturday.

But forecast might change. It has gotten a bit better already for both snow and temperature.

Heading up today up the renshaw I think. First time staying at beaver creek lodge....staff was supper friendly and cabins are really nice. Truck says -31 so hopefully it warms up a bit.
