this is 100% accurate. i just had a presentation yesterday on my business evaluation. a very key element in the evaluation of a company is how it can operate without its key personnel. If key personnel do not come with said business or pass away etc this is considered high risk and debt which devalues your business greatly. The smartest thing you can do is have the right people in place to maintain revenue and earnings without your presense. Which like you said is why these big dealers are structured this way. All your eggs in one basket never works out
We actually agree on something? There is hope for you yet. Now how about taking that test ride on the 9R?

Gotta be some sort of relationship between the people who support carbon tax and the people who agree with and support dealers price gouging……. Justification on both makes no sense to people with a brain that functions properly

Not sure how you can compare a private enerprise to a carbon tax. They are the exact opposite..

Maybe you guys should complain to your buddy Justin Trudeau about the GST n chit.

The government probably makes more than the dealer off the sale, but that is A-OK because you are entitled to chitty healthcare that doesnt cover anything...

Charge whatever you want as it’s a free market .
You don’t like the price don’t buy it . Pretty simple isn’t it ?!
pf i572, truer words have never been posted on SNO n Muck Ha!

yes simple concept that all the commies don't understand. most dealers look after there sled/bike/atv purchasers first before anyone else, sometimes this is invaluable, especially if you want to ride on the weekend. always your choice? example try getting your sled fixed after a long weekend, if you purchased from somewhere else as most are booked solid for a week or two. just my experience, your mileage may differ!

ie: it's your money, spend it whichever way you want! why come on here and cry the boo hoo tears, because someone is more expensive. talk about baby chit!

That’s exactly how the idiots that blindly follow our socialist government have been justifying all the bull$hit tax hikes, it’s only 3%, but after the 4th increase in as many years it adds up. Big dealerships in centralized locations is the definition of communist. Centralize everything, less free enterprise for the little guy, greater ability to inflate prices and force people’s hand as they won’t have the luxury of being able to shop around. The big money behind the big dealership gets bigger and more and more mom and pops disappear.

It's my $1000 and with the instant networking that is used with HQ every dealership knows what they are doing.
Any pricing out iof line with the markup there is on not only the sled but the accessories, well they just don't deserve my business.
Gouging is not to harsh of a discription in my opinion.

From his perspective, from a customer perspective - is the service $1000 better at the large volume dealership? Overhead will be relative to volume so spend accordingly..

I’ve never bought powersports toys from the huge dealers but I have in the past bought a couple trucks from the big dealers and I can say that was the worst service and treatment I’ve had. Bought my last 4 vehicles from local dealer and have been treated awesome and got very fair to great pricing

Does the government own the big dealerships? No? Then its not comumnism. Pretty sure comunists proles don't get to have G5s lmfao..

Communists do try to control the price i can charge for stuff though....

Lot of people dont like big bad Turple bros. (For example) Glenn Turple has a family, he started small and now they are big.

Just cause his family happens to be more successful then some other familys isnt a valid reason not to shop there imo.

Thats why people get into buisness, to become successful, so they can have a good life and buy expensive chit for their family. Its the American dream ffs...

"Big dealership" is giving you a 1000$ insentive to shop with "ma and pa"
So go vote with your dollar..

So its ok if they charge less, just not more.

I see....

It’s not the charging more or trying to get as much money out of a sale, if you can put an idiot together like a ham sammich then all the power to ya. Issue I have is them justifying it by saying it’s because we’re a bigger dealer and we’re better and they charge more to everyone because of it. That’s a joke, big dealers treat most customers like a number in a long list of numbers. Any dealer I’ve purchased from treats me like an equal, answers the phone and knows who you are when you call. Treatment like that keeps people coming back

Try phoning Basecamp for parts after you have bought $40g worth of sleds/quads from them. You can't get any worse service IMO.
