Bet Sohi will be good for edmonton, not sure if he would be my choice but he has something to offer and Edmonton should do ok with him at the helm
I’ll call Sohi for a taxi….
Almost? Why not? They need the stupid beat out of them. With trudeau winning 3x and now sohi i'm over being nice about it. Anyone who votes for this left BS is nothing but a socialist POS who needs to be told where to

Take your argument to public unions. Teachers unions includes all teachers and personnel. Health Unions includes nurses, hospital administrators, hospital helpers, etc. City workers unions, includes management, and all working for your local city. I bet you know a few (maybe on this forum). This is the war in North America. Governments of all sectors have ballooned to control the vote.

We will never know, he had his opportunity to show he is a leader and apparently fell on his face
No he didn’t. The unions vote won the election. None will vote for smaller government. vote nothing to do with whom would make better leader. Union members vote In unison.

radio this morning stated highest voter turn out in Edmonton since 2004.
All the socialist govt employees voted, left is left be it municipal, provincial or federal - if you want to know where the votes came from.
The volume is not sustainable - need a massive house cleaning and privatization to stand a chance of paying govt paychecks and pensions.
So many brainwashed govt employees that demand what is theirs and do not care where THEIR paycheck comes from - mostly their neighbors..
Or like in the US some states just not paying the pensions - state is bankrupt.
Coming to a province near you sooner than you think.

100% correct and the unions and members do not care about the debt damage being done to everyone else - they be fat and happy, their entire herd..

No body talks about the 1 billion in debt Iverson created while he was mayor nor do they talk much about Calgary municipal taxes doubling during Nenshis tenure, people seem to happily roll along and could care less but god forbid you spin your tires across a rainbow crosswalk.

I am Thinking that the Conservatives voters are stupid. Complain everyday, about socialists. Yet don’t Vote. Conservative Voters are pathetic. Most conservatives voters stay home, eat dinner, and are exhausted for rest of the day. Forget about voting. Where as unions work in unison and make voting priority. Look at all retired educators, nurses, etc, city workers (they are working as a team to vote). They have one leftist leader (Notley, Sohi, Gondek, etc). Whereas conservatives put up two, three representative. This splits votes. Conservatives will need better turnouts to win elections. Remember 33% of working population is on government payroll. The grey area is the married couples, whom one is public sector employe and the other is private sector. Likely they will side with government sector employees because of benefits. They grey area vote will need the most political attention. Summarize this rant. Conseractive voters need better (100%) participation in elections. Conservative voters need to pick one candidate to focus on, no vote splitting. Conservatives households that have both government sector and private sector members. Will need to split household vote (this will be difficult for many). 🦬🦬🦬🦬

Do you actually believe that the union voters are any more organized or informed than the general population? I can tell you that they’re not. Union leaders do support the socialist candidates often, but the memberships usually don’t obey and don’t pay any more attention than the average joe. You can blame the unions if it makes you feel better, but the truth is that conservative candidates lost because they can’t get anyone to care about municipal elections. Urban elections always go progressive and rural go conservative Because the urban progressives are better at organizing the women and the men that wish they were. I drove past my polling station on Monday twice a couple of hours apart hoping the lineup would go away, and it was noticeable that there were very few men in line. It never got shorter by the last time I drove by, so I finally had to stand in line for 40 minutes to vote. 90% of the lineup was female. Dozens of men walked up, saw the line and left.
The voter turnout in the cities was about 35%. In calgary the new douchebag mayor got about 40% of the turnout in order to win. Doing the math, roughly 14% of the electorate in calgary put her in power. I’m sure the same is true in Edmonton.
The progressives know how little turnout is required to put their candidates in power and make the effort to zero in on and get out their voters. They communicate better and are better organized. The conservatives Are none of the above.
The urban progressives candidates won because the conservative candidates were disorganized, fractured and complacent. The unions didn’t win the election, conservative inaction and complacency lost it.
