Friend rode West Castle this past weekend and was sure he could ride over the pass but was late in the afternoon and so passed on it. Good start though!

Hit fernie coal creek stage today trail is nice. I would say only 2-3 ft of snow at the cabin. Notch is rideable but watch out for rocks and ice needs agood 2-3 feet more. Nice for a break in run .

I know there punching a trail from the cabin area to the rolling hills that they will be grooming

We got approval on Friday. I should have more information from the loggers today as to the process. A simplified version is: a 3 mile walk with a track-hoe to lay down some trees, fresh snow on top, and we should be
good to go.
