question is... would one of the 6.4s be perfect for haling a sled deck and two sleds to the hills. I have a trailer and I have a low k 5.9 rite now... but am considering getting out of the diesel and the trailer is on its way out to. other then ripping to the hills with a deck 10 times a year... I drive around the city/ ft sask to Sherwood park.

Yup. Used my 5.7 for years. Don't compare it to diesels...they do not have the low end torque. But no gasser does.

Hemi with 4.56 gearing works great

Yes, I had a 2011 ford F250 6.2 with 4:30 ratio and pulled like crazy.
No huge tires and lifts with the gas and they work fine.
Of course the new diesels pull at lower Rpm's and pull better but a cost is attached for that.
If using a truck for work and pulling all the time? Buy a diesel.
Using for the odd trip pulling trailer a few thousand Kms a year for holidays ? I would be gas. IMO
