Crows Nest area?? Need info

My group and I are looking to go and ride the Crowsnest area. Never been in the area. We are all seasoned mountain riders (10+ yrs) and have never gone that way. Can anyone suggest a place to stage from and a place to stay at?

you could either stage at york creek or atlas .... york has more play areas close to the staging area ..... atlas has lots of play areas north of the cabing just a 30 min ride via the trail system as they are plowing the road.... check on the crowsnow riders website for maps you can print off

you can also stage out towards castle ski hill or by castle falls on the way to the ski hill (this area links up to your creek area) lots of good riding and staging in the area to be had. how many of you guys are coming down? I was gonna say if you want to have cheap accomadations with a hot tub and in between castle ski hill and the pass you are more than welcome to stay at my place in beaver mines! I have 3 spare rooms and two couchs on a 35 acre ranch if you are interested in staying in aplace like that instead of hotel probably a lot cheaper to lol

I am thinking of doing this trip on the first weekend of March. How is the snow conditions looking? I may take you up on your offer . Just waiting for a head count .

Ok I have four of us that would like to head that way. I still don't know where to go lol , nor can I find any up to date trail conditions . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not looking for a trail ride per say. We would like to do some boondocking in some great powder.

well I'm looking out my window in pincher creek looking at close to 6 inches of fresh and still snowing I heard castle is getting PUKED on so its gonna be game on for that area! best part about this area is no matter were you go there is fresh pockets everywere just gotta look or know a guy who knows lol. the best riding I have had in this area has been a little gem on the bc/alberta border and also the castle ski hill area has been pretty dynomite for the most part. pm me or give me a call 250-919-1130 if u need any more info or would like to take me up on the offer for places to stay

Has the Castle area been getting all this snow in the last couple of days, how many can stay at your place Jared. I might like to check it out either this coming weekend or the 24th 25th weekend.
