The next Country Thunder is in Calgary. NO Camping, Hotels only.

Was at 2022 - Country Thunder in Craven, Very disappointing venue, Disorganized, Very Messy, Cans-Bottles-Garbage everywhere, No one cleaning up at all even empties. Garbage's and recycle bins never emptied ever. People just through everything on the ground after. Bottlenecks at entrances/exits which should of been managed. Picnic tables are rotten and are falling apart and collapsing when used. Shelters (Pole Barns) are unstable and should not be allowed access. Huge lineups for drink/food tickets. No staff or security. Wont be going back and hopefully they don't destroy BVJ in Camrose as they took that over.

BVJ 2022 was better, however they were letting to many General Admission bracelets in to reserved which caused a lot of problems. Not enough Bathrooms and long lineups. This was rectified Sunday with more bathrooms and watching wrist bands and limiting access. Security was great. We seen little things that were rectified the next day like the lack of recycle bins. Shortage of portable bathrooms. They ran out of all drinks in the main stage daily by mid way through the final concerts. The beer gardens made a big mistake for the final day and had 3/8 of the beer/drink service windows closed which led to 45-60 minute beverage lines and a lot of impatient or upset people.

That looks pretty clean compared to a few years ago, it was far more messy and disorganized cluster faack when it was the craven country jamboree. And more god damn mud than you could imagine.

Been there and done that in my 20's chasing tail ain't my cup of tea now.

I live just outside of Regina. If you ever are looking to sell a POS RV that you think you would never see a dime out of, post it for sale 4-6 weeks ahead of Craven. I've never seen so many unroadworthy POS trailers roaming around as the week before Craven.

I went to craven once 10 years ago. Never been back. From what I remember, they got 2” of rain the day before it opened and they had to move a ton of campers from general into the reserved areas. Packed like sardines in a mud hole. They had tractors going steady on the last day pulling guys out. To each their own but I’ll stay away.

For Now, Country Thunder has taken them over, give it time.
BVJ use to be the largest annual outdoor concert in North America. Saw Allan Jackson one year, 70,000 in the grand stands just to see him. The key is to camp in the quiet section and party in the noisy/wild area.

It's too bad we get older and more responsible. Couldn't handle partying like that anymore nor do I want witnesses like the wife and kids haha

BVJ was good like usual. Getting another price increase for next year though. 4 reserved seats. Beside the Center stage row 25 and 1 camp spot in legacy. 2000 for the 4 of us this year. 2500 next year. See an increase the last 3 or 4 times. Almost getting too expensive to justify going.
