did anyone else see the interview with nothead and the reporter asks if the carbon tax has actually curbed people's use of fossil fuels and nothead says that she doesn't have the numbers on it ….. now if you have a tax that this wonderful party thinks will curb fossil fuel use shouldn't they have numbers on consumption before and after????

Im still trying to figure out why the whole carbon tax is a provincial political debate? What will change if the UCP becomes the provinces leadership?

Canada will have another premier fighting Ottawa on the carbon tax. You should probably get one of the mods on here to change your handle to teamorange.

Good one, you're hilarious. Hows the fight going for the four provinces who don't have a provincial carbon tax?

Well she cut production that’s hurting companies that are already struggling, she knows the numbers.

Carbon tax at the pump and on home bills will disappear quickly but the industrial end of the carbon tax is completely separate and will most definitely stay in place so we can still achieve equivalency with the federal Methane regulations and be able to run under our own regulation, Directive 60, as well as take care of our own emissions.

This will ensure Alberta stays out of the clutches of the Federal regs and taxes while eliminating the carbon tax paid directly by the consumer.

That is the approach I am seeing as the closest to reality for the UCP. The emissions reduction approach has been embraced by industry as well in terms of investment in compliance and in the offset systems so they would not want to take that away at this point.

well I for one am not a fan of paying for a fawking tax that does absolutely nothing except raise money for the crooked government ….. if we were a contributor to the issue maybe but in Canada our carbon footprint is pretty freaking minimal …. somehow these politicians have gotten the sheep to follow them to think we have another issue …. 70's it was ice age returning then acid rain ran rampant in the 80's but the sheep don't fawking get it

Yeah, the climate alarmists don't want to hear anything except from their cult leaders. Carbon taxes are just a way for politicians to gouge us for more money. The following link makes way more sense than Suzuki and comrades. https://nam05.safelinks.protection....spv7Ys9sgomn+2KKJlwb1KRpsz/Mn88MQ=&reserved=0

Ok, so I still don't understand. If the provincial carbon tax is scrapped, the federal one is imposed. And Skegpro still hasn't answered.
